I guess I'm sort of a slacker in that case.
The 911 got the full wheels off treatment a couple times per season but it didn't see dirt roads or much rain so it was pretty easy. I do keep the DDs clean but not the same way. I did install new rear shocks on the Suquinox a few weeks ago and they were white. Everytime I looked at it they looked like white tube socks with a dark suit. I couldn't stand it any longer and painted them black last Friday. Much better. Found out the dude went on a bender and was out for 2 days. MIL fired him this morning and I took his tools over to the widow's place so she can fire him, too. Apparently, he has an alkyhol problem.

These are the rear rotors removed from the Yukon today. Hmmmmm, I wonder if they can just be machined?

Sadly those handy project dudes and benders seem to come as a set. One of these days I am going to start fixen up the hacienda. Not looking forward to getting help. Also not looking forward to coming up with the monies to do then things I want to do either.
When I tired to find an electrical guy to re-run a network wire ended up having to pay more than twice what it should have cost. Called a local company and told them exactly what I needed a ethernet cat5 wire re-run with cat6 because the cat5 had been damaged and was only connecting between hubs at 10MB/s. They sent a guy out who did some testing then told me the wire was damaged some how and was only connecting at 10MB/s and it needed a new wire ran. Then that they didn't do that and HERE's your bill. Man I was pissed off. Had to call another company that actually sent out a guy out to pull a new wire, but it still took him two trips because he didn't bring enough wire(?) the first time and cost me twice as much as it should have. His fee for twice as much to actually pull the wire was still less than the first companies charge just to tell me what I had told them.

For a second there thought that was a picture of a brown felt derby of some sort.
My worst vehicle was the 05 VW Passat. It was literally a pain in the butt to drive. Was a shame because otherwise it was a nice car and was planning to put euro springs on it. Was told that would fix it getting dangerously unstable above 90 mph. Amazingly none of my vehicles ever actually left me stranded on the road. I left the 78 GMC Jimmy stranded once. But that was because the police took me to jail for trying to use the sloped up end of a guard rail to put it on two wheels like you see those stunt drivers do. They claimed my blood alcohol was too high, but I think they were just jealous because they didn't think to try to use those new sloped up ramp looking guard rail ends for that. The Range Rover died driving down the road a couple of times, but after a few minutes started right back up and drove on like nothing ever happened. It doing that is why I got the Cayenne. Just did not instill much confidence dying then running again for no apparent reason. The station wagon actually drove home even after the engine fire. It would start and run at 2000 rpm but the accelerator didn't work. Had to drop it neutral to stop, and almost do neutral slams to get going again, but it made it. Fixed the throttle linkage with a coat hanger until I could get the parts for it. The Satellite lost a radiator hose, but was able to patch it by tying a red shop rag around it, and we drank all the beer and peed in the radiator to make it home. We couldn't just pour the beer in the radiator, that would have been wasteful. The 944 Turbo S lost a head gasket, but it went slowly and I was able to keep adding water and make it to the shop without it getting hot. Just made a little smoke under the hood. The gasket wasn't blown out from being too lean or too much boost, it was just corroded away and gone from age.

Yeah, I told her to get new ones last week when I first looked at it. The pads were toasted as you would expect. Good to go now AND she took my daughter to craft making class tonight with her daughter.

Good Hump day morning all. Except for maybe Jim.
Happy Saturday. I am having fun with my upgrade to Win 10. I can't blame it all on Microsoft. I set up a 2TB mirrored raid as the boot drive. I used two used drives we had sitting on the shelf. One of them died. I had to take the computer apart and replace that drive. Now it is rebuilding.

Good Morning.
Well, there aren't any good deal Cayennes out there right now that meet my criteria. There are a couple that come close, but I do not want a rattle trap panoramic roof. Oh great. Our fine marketing department decided they want to use Mail Chimp for email campaigns. I have my own email server, or company email server, gmail, yahoo mail, and my mac.com email accounts. The only one that doesn't classify an email from Mail Chip as spam is mac.com! Good luck reaching any customers.

My Ramcharger left me stranded one night because the timing chain sprockets were those stupid plastic things and I hadn't gotten around to replacing them. The other issue I had with it was because we were our in the trails with it and I put a big rock on the rotor and broke the inside disk off. That was a fun drive home trying not to use the brakes. The cooling fins did machine the pads nicely though.
![]() Richard the aim is to send the emails out, whether it reaches a customer is just a bonus.
