That sounds like it would be hilarious. Without a word just carry and ice chest and a lawn chair in and setup overlooking my car.
When in college the house we rented was about 3 ft lower than the lot behind us which had a small grassy area and then the parking lot and a few apartments. 4 of the girls in the apartments decided to sun bathe in the grassy area on their towels. My house mates room window faced our back yard and he came and got me from studying in the living room so I could see what was happening. He was really excited to see the girls sun bathing so close to his window. I carried our small kitchen table, an ice chest, my books, a chair, and a pair of binoculars out and set up in the back yard studying. Every so often I would take a drink of beer, scan the girls that were at eye level about 10 ft away in their bikinis with the binoculars, then go back to studying. After a few long looks with the binoculars they got together and whispered which got my attention so I took a swig and pulled up the binoculars. They all stood up, turned around, and gave me a full bent over bare arse see it all mooning. I about fell out of my chair. We all laughed and looked over at my housemates window, he had about ripped it blinds apart. I passed out some cold beers and they continued their sun bathing while I continued my studies with the delightfully memorable scenery.

"Excuse me sir, you are not allowed in the service area. Ah, insurance regulations, I think. Yeah, yeah, insurance rules.
Got the new tires. Somewhere along the lone one of the companies lied about the tire size. I will get some pictures when I get home, but the old rear tire and new rear tire are 26x10 according to the sidewall but they certainly are not the same or similar size.

I think they are following the clothing industry except in reverse.
At least when you order with the proper metric sizing you know pretty close what you are getting. I am pretty sure these two are using a different unit of measure. One is in inches, the other is in Hobbit toes or something.

The proper tire size is 245/60/15 on the front and 295/50/15 in the rear. One of these were "looks about right, ship'em".
Neither tire is close to the original BFG in the proper metric size. I might get a ruler out to see who is closest for kicks and giggles.

Holy crap.
I was at the in-laws at 8am as instructed. The handy-dude never showed. FIL tried calling him several times with no luck. Kinda hard to fire someone if you can't reach them. He better be in jail or dead 'cause he is in deep doodoo. For the record, I DID NOT recommend the guy. My FIL hired him when we were dropping the cabinets at his house. Sooooooooo, FIL, my son, and I are going to finish the job starting Friday. Back home now and I'm charging the SOB for 4 hours of my time.

What did the company say when you told them? You shouldn't have to pay for shipping them back.

Never have understood that. When you go to track tires like Hoosiers they start measuring them is 10's and 12's and stuff instead of the standard metric stuff. The non-metric sizes never made any sense to me.
Remember when I bought my first set of tires for my Satellite. I wanted 50's on the back and 70's on the front so bad and my Dad made me by the stock sizes for it. Couldn't even get raised white letters in the stock sizes. He was smarter than I was because the way the suspension was set up you could floor it from a stop and instead of spinning the tires it would break a motor mount with the stock tires on it. Only time I could get it to spin the rear tires was wet or snow and ice. Had a friend tell me one time if I spun the rear tires it would tear up the motor and transmission. Told him it did that without spinning the tires. He had a Vette my Satellite would beat.

Ah Microsoft. Have a customer it is saying is spam. Whitelisted them and it still says they are spam. Yet it sends spoofed emails that say they are from our own users yet the server is not on our SPF list. Think maybe Microsoft is getting a cut of whatever the spammers and phishers are making.

Richard, they do it for the ad blockers, why not spam?
I have yet to break a motor mount, but then again I have an adjustable mid plate at the connection of the bellhousing to the back of the block and an adjustable rod with heim joints on the front of the motor. Prior to those I used to twist the transmission mount pretty severely. Now, nothing moves and it sure makes a difference in the seat of the pants in how much better the throttle response is. For your mounts people used to drill a hole and put a bolt loosely through them but Mopar also makes a clip to keep the two sides from separating. Unless you had a Hemi, that is a little different.

On of my friends put a GTX 6 cylinder turbo engine In his El Camino. He had to mount some chains on the top to keep the engine mounts from breaking and the engine from moving too far. I never worry about it with my 350. I don't abuse the little 7.5 inch rear end enough to worry about engine mounts.

Glen, Chains stretch. Sometimes pretty far. I speak from experience as I tried the chain first. It stretched and still warped the transmission mount.

I blew the transmission apart in my Camaro once. I was going to impress my then wife with how nitrous works. BUwaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhBAM! Parts and pieces on the road.
Needless to say she wasn't impressed.

Had the engine in my Satellite chained in besides the motor mount. It was a real torque beast. It was a 383, but some kind of a weird road racing competition thing with 2 big 2bbl carbs on it. It was called a Sebring Plus after the track. It also had adjustable suspension, that's why they were able to set it up to get out of the hole so well without spinning the tires.
My nephew commented one time that he was really impressed that I had such a quick car and just drove it around like normal. He didn't know I was afraid it would bust a motor mount! I very very rarely floored it from a full stop.

Ha ha ha...was in a girls Pinto one time driving down the highway. Her Dad had put a 50mph limiter on it to keep her from driving down the highway. There was a big bang, and clunk, then the engine revved and the car slowed to a stop as a gear rolled past us rolling out in front of the car. The transmission came apart. Her Dad was one pissed off small town Sheriff. It was a really good thing I wasn't the boy from out of town he was trying to keep her from visiting.

Back in high school I was driving a 1960 VW bug and if it was in gear the gas petal was to the metal. 65 MPH was pretty much flat out it there was a head wind of any sort.
My buddy drove his older brother's GTO with a monster HP engine. His brother went off to Viet Nam and told his little brother to drive it but don't wreck it or spin the tires. Mike was likely the only little brother to do what his older brother asked. He drove that GTO like a grandma. He mostly just idled around. We were just driving around under the speed limit when a cop saw two teenagers in a hot GTO and pulled us over. Mike was getting grilled and the cop was looking hard for a reason to write a ticket. We were not speeding and were 100% legal. The cop was getting frustrated and our salvation was a radio call for "officer needs help" and the cop left in a hurry. I never once was pulled over driving my bug, even when I bought the massive 60 HP 1973 Super bug.

I paid $600 for it and sold it two years later for $650. 36 MPG in the era of 25 cents per gallon of gas. All I ever did to it was oil changes and valve adjustments. Oh, I bought a set of four tires for $29 mounted and balanced. They were re-caps and dang small, I don't remember what size. I only got that bug to 70 MPH once and that was downhill and it sounded like it was about to come apart and it was floating all over the road.
On the way to work I had to merge onto the local highway. Many times I was side by side with a 18 wheeler at the red light. The truckers of the day were shifting like crazy, but I could NOT out run one and change lanes to get in front of a 18 wheeler even when they had a heavy load.
