No doubt.
It was an interesting conversation at the car show on Saturday. Virtually every service company for mechanical work or paint work was mentioned. The different guys all had experiences with some or all of them. The place that has your car was mentioned as a good place for routine service but very slow on big projects. The place in Edmond that specializes in older air cooled vehicles was nominated and all agreed as the worst business man for running a business. He had excellent final product but poor business management. One paint shop where I had my El Camino paint work has had a 928 for over two years and still is not really doing anything to it. The guy that fixed the deer hit damage on my 911 was thought of highly. None had all bad things said, all had hits and misses. One guy there sent his 914 out to a shop is California for a total refurbish. He was quoted 200K. He told them to ship it back and he would find another source, and it was a decent running 914.

Hindsight is 20/20. Should have made the guy that did the heads drill the pistons while he had the engine out. But at that time he really thought drilling the oil relief holes would make it use oil worse.

Quickbooks is the shizzle. Any program like that should let you reconcile with your bank, and any bank worth banking with should let you download a CSV to reconcile with. And in this day of cards, you should only be printing checks, if that. I rarely use my checkbook.

I have been using QuickBooks since the 1980s. It is pretty easy to set up to download from my bank for checking and savings at my local credit union and a separate set of accounts at USAA.

I'll have to look into if the program we use now will download a file or not.

Will be glad when/if these software companies get off the doing everything on the cloud thing. Don't mind the Adobe thing where the monthly license lets you download the software. Just don't like having to have an internet connection to be able use the software at all. Back in the day using hosted software was call a thin client and nobody liked it. Now they call it the cloud and it's suddenly Okay.

Right now I am still using Quicken 2015. I bet the 2017 version is out. I upgrade every three years or so because they kill the download function after a few years. I still have my copy of Quicken 2 and it says now on 3.5 inch floppies.
I think I said QuickBooks on my first post. That is great for a business. I use Quickbooks for the Porsche club to track the spending and write checks. And we use it here at the office to run the business. For a personal checkbook and accounts Quicken is the choice.

Has anyone done the security update for that WannaCry virus for Windows?
They are pushing the update out today where I work and updating all the servers Wednesday night.

Well, at least there are a good number who don't think so. Glen, the Thunderbirds still do that. We are supposed to get hail tonight so I get to go home, move the table saw back in front of the Cobra and try to make room for the Durango to fit back in the garage. With all the projects going we used that stall for shade staining and the drinks and saw while we worked on the fence and replacement retaining wall. We had a tractor come to dig up the old stuff since we have 75' on one stretch plus another 12 the other direction.

We pushed out the Cry fix immediately.
Some people were upset since we did it all during business hours instead of our normal time. Too bad. If they knew how to be safe I wouldn't have worried much.

I figured a short disruption in their day was better than them being fired for being stupid. Well, being shown to be stupid anyway.

Off to go put the truck away before the hail arrives.
