Good Monday morning all. It was a long commute today. I had to go all the way to the curb to put the trash can back behind the house after the trash truck came and emptied it.

Today is my brother's 65th birthday so I had to call him and wish him happy birthday and call him old. When we were growing up it felt like all I ever heard for doing something fun was "you are too young but your brother can do it because he is older" so now its payback for all that.

morning all. Well the 84 year old will attempt to go to parade with me. LOL That's right dad heard that Connor was not going so he is going come hell or high water. Took him for a spin on Sunday the car is little low but he was ok with it. The kicker will be the 4-5 hour long drive to get there.

It was and still is very overcast outside and it is just in the low 70s. The humidity is like Savanna or Houston so it was not real hot but not very comfortable. Since I know the boss real well I decided to wash the 911. It was HOT over the weekend so I procrastinated. It payed off. The 911 is all pretty and I took it for a nice short drive. When I got out my glassed fogged up like mad. I had to take them off to see.

Morning all. Happy 4th of July everyone. We had one last project we were working on with the old company. We used their airplane last month to fly to Florida and map a big project. We of course used our camera and computers and know how to do the work. We will have to figure out how to do the invoice. Main point it is all done but the delivery.

Happy Independance Day!

Glen, IMO, you're a VERY EXPENSIVE subcontractor!

We met friends for breakfast. Then, it was off to West Marine for some sailboat gear that they had on sale. I might tinker in the garage this afternoon. Then grilling some meat for dinner, and watching fireworks from my backyard.

I hope all of you have a great 4th of July!

We have been lazy. We watched all three of the Beverly Hills cop movies. Some funny stuff.

I remember that week we spent in Savannah in August. One day the heat index was 135. At the hotel my wife made me walk from the hotel to the car and come to the front door to pick her up. It was just brutal.

Good Monday.... um Wednesday morning. Yesterday felt like a short weekend.

Happy Hump day!

Went with mom and dad to take our kids to the fireworks last night. I pulled the bill of my cap low over my brow so I could nap.

The in-laws flew home this morning. My wife's brother likes it in WI and is looking to move there from CA. He is a likeable guy and gets along good with the kids so that would be great to have him nearby. My MiL and her new husband are looking to move here when they retire next year. She is nice but quiet so you don't notice she is here. Her husband is like having a blender full of rocks going full time with Cliff Claven talking in the background but with less truthful knowledge. He told me on several occasions how his Tundra was built at the Ford plant. He has told me on several occasions how he thought it was but isn't. The flip flopping like that goes on with everything. Fortunately we don't own an ice pick.

Ain't family great.

Bro Bob brought 4 iPhones this past weekend he had gotten from a cousin that passed away.
They are setup as those Go Phones that you buy so many minutes ahead of time and you have 30 days to use em or you lose em.
Bob who has a perfectly good iPhone bought $10 of time on one while he was here.
Says it is for a backup if his regular iPhone has a problem. Even though it has a different phone number.
Told him in all the years I've had iPhones I've never had an issue with one that wasn't fixed at the local apple store before I lost use of it.

When he told Tom, our other brother, Tom got pissed. Tom has been gifting Bob money to help him make ends meet. Bob only gets $1300/mo SSI. Tom lectured Bob on spending money on stupid stuff like that. That made Bob mad.

Oh yeah. Tried to help Bob setup the old Mac Mini I gave him. Instead of learning how to use the computer he ONLY wants to learn what to do step by step to type up documents and email the text from the documents. Told him he needs to learn how to use a computer in general, then doing what he specifically wants to do will be much easier. When I was telling him what to do, he would say, huh? So would tell him the same thing over only LOUDER. Then he would tell me I don't have to yell. &#((@!! did too or he can't hear, he is freaking almost deaf. Told me later that I upset people when I get loud when explaining things. Told him yeah, especially when those people are deaf.

Finally told him to go to his local Apple Store and have them show him how to use his Mac. Then it took almost an hour to explain the local Apple stores have a calendar on their web site that tells when they have free classes available. There is a different web site for each store. It has a calendar for just that store not all of the Apple Stores. And yes the calendar is on the web site even if it is a holiday or after hours and the store is technically closed. And free means it doesn't cost anything. Hence the term FREE. And they have descriptions telling you what each class is about. And NO, I don't know what the classes are or when they offer them, I am not a freakin syllabus for the Apple stores.

Good Morning all.

It is astonishing how cheap USB thumb drives are getting. I ordered a 10 pack of 16 gig thumb drives for $49.99. That is pretty much 5 bucks for 16 gig. We have a lot of projects that we deliver via FTP. Once they get to the 1 gig range and up, it is just too difficult to FTP. The customers like USB drives except big corporations. They treat USB drives like they are rabid. I guess it makes sense.
