Tell me about that one. I know you are in the bussiness, was it one of those thing one can buy like the old campy cork screw backin the old days? I am not into knifes but this one I want.

I also have the cork screw, It's never failed.

I brought the shive to our trade show in the cork screws box to show th folks at Campy.

The Italians were stunned and speachless.

Where/how did you acquire this ? I used to have a real Gurka (sp?) knife I got from a guy in Nepal when I was there...did a trade. Should never have parted with it. I love knives of all sorts except the rubber and plastic handles. Repro's of Old West knives, or originals, if I run across them. Some of the ones I pictured are boot knives...

Some pocket knives. The spork I have because it is goofy. The switchblade I got in Italy, I wish it were larger. The Swiss Army knife I've had for probably 30 years, it went on a 4 month spa at the Victorinox factory in Switzerland to be repaired and refinished (I declined their offer of a replacement and asked to have my original knife fixed).

Some kitchen knives. From the top. The 10" Victornix Forschner chef's is my main tool, resharpened to 15 degrees, great knife. The long carbon slicer was my father-in-law's, it is wicked sharp. The shorter slicer gets used for fish. The other 10" chef's is a French chef's knife that is my backup. And the curved scimitar is not really that useful unless you are cutting up some big pieces of animal, like a butcher (or vash, aigel, etc) would.

And some cleavers. Both are Forschners. The one with the ergonomic handle is much more comfortable to use but has a flimsy blade, it is made in USA. The one with the cylindrical handle gives me a blister (the exposed corner of the tang), but has a solid blade, it is made in Portugal. I wish I could combine them.

bringing up an old thread but I thought you guys might get a kick out my little cleaver. can't remember when or where I picked it up, but it's handmade and very old. that rule next to it 2 ft long.

Really great work, on that knife. Not just the workmanship, but the design too. Very impressive to visualize (and realize/execute) that design so well.

The T handle thing is a Fixed Cup remover. In the right hands it will remove a frozen bottom bracket.

In the wrong hands it WILL make it worse! on english threaded bb's

I worked at a bike shop in the early 80's with a full Campy tool kit. It was neat facing the head tube and bottom bracket before installing Campy gruppo's.

If you are referring to the simi... It was brought back from a trip to Africa. :)

I have too many knives...everything from a tiny one blade "pen" knife up to the Marine fighting knife, the Ka-Bar...My favorite hunting knife is nothing fancy...A schrade "golden spike"...no longer made, IIRC.

I passed through the lockback carry stage a long time ago...

The knife I put among my pocket gear every night? Like this one, only mine has stag scales. A present from Cindy for a long ago birthday. Sometimes you settle for the classic designs that are classic because of their function.

Here's a pic of a custom knife that my dad had made for me for my 18th birthday.

It was taken last week, shortly after it was used to field dress it's 24th deer in just about as many years.

Nothing fancy, but it keeps a nice sharp blade, and means the world to me.
