Nothing special except say it's so great to grill up a steak in the sun and eat outside for lunch. Going to saute up some peppers and onions and mushrooms for the Italian sausages tomorrow with some wonder bread.

J. are those curry leaves?

I just called my favorite plant nursery asking about Indian Curry plants, and the guy basically said.."oh, good luck with that".

I replied, "come on, you act like this will be the first tree I kill". :D. I'm gonna find a dwarf- tree and put it in a pot that I can bring in during the winter.

The majority of the leaves in there are holy basil, but there are some kaffir lime leaves in there, too.

It’s a Thai recipe, it’s not what most people would think was a curry. It’s what the Thais call a dry red curry. It’s pretty righteous.

Cedar planked salmon on the BGE with a dijon brown sugar and soy glaze topped with steamed asparagus, shallots, green onions and dill. So good we've had it two nights in row.

On the day two version I added some pecan smoke and charred when done with a blow torch for a nice crust.

After that steak, I'd have to unbutton my pants and take a nap.

Day 2 looks amazing!

Made Chef John's chicken Masala last night. Had to go to the Indian grocery for the Garam Masala mix, but had ghee and most the rest.

I made cauliflower rice which is like zero calories, but you just can't tell it's not rice when smothered with masala. Did the cauliflower in a hot cast iron pan with very little oil, almost none.

Fun fact: for anyone with FODMAP like me (excessive gas from garlic) I substitute finely diced fresh habeneros. I use them all the time. Plus I just found out you can add whole garlic cloves to olive oil (not cooking the cloves), get the flavor, but avoid any of the pesky sugars because they can't be soluable just sitting in oil.
