long day of working on the cars, new rebuilt caliper for friend's Saab leaked out of the box, new front spoiler on the 84 took 3 hours, not 1, ICV valve tested and toast, forgot to eat lunch, so a nice ribeye, avocados with red wine vinegar and horseradish potato chips, and of course an Ommegang wheat were the perfect end to the day.

Halibut with mouhammara. The lemon-cilantro cream sauce was a disaster, halibut took too long to cook and I didn't feel like refreshing the sauce. Tasty enough.

For breakfast I did french toast on an old Westinghouse hotplate my mum had got as a wedding present. She past away about 10 years ago and I thought I'd keep this. I think she would have been be pleased to see me with french toast and real Canadian maple syrup for breakfast.
