This car is going to be street driven to the track and back for now.
The idea is to trailer it later. KT

3,000 track miles a year would happen if the driver does 20 track days...

I bought the same car for my dumb ass nephew about 6 months ago. Paid 500 for it and ended up putting about 1200 in parts into it. he is so stupid and mechanically dumb that I bought him a subaru. I have it back now. The little dumb ass did rear end someone and took out the front grill and slight fender tweek but if anyone wants the car I will sell for 700. Car is in Seattle

325e is actually a 2.7 liter engine. Torquier than the 2.5 liter but lower horsepower. You can fit the head from a 325i and end up with an approximation of the best of both engines. This is what I'm building for my e21. A friend built a 2.7 liter stroker with a really nice i head and gets 200 crank horsepower out of it. Nice engine.

Consider swapping the rear end for a 3.91 if it hasnt been done already

325e
I used to have one that I used as a daily driver. Great car. Reminded me a lot of my old '68 1600 when I was under the back end of it. Good seats, fun commuter as the torque was right there when you needed it. Something like 90% of the torque was available at 1700-1800 rpm so yes, short shifting was the order of the day. I put a Tornado in the induction system and that gave it a little more umph above 4800 rpm. Kind of like secondaries kicking in. Got great gas mileage too.

![]() ![]() Not bad for an hour and a half, huh? :?: The padding in the trunk was likely 100 pounds alone! KT

The mats are thick dense rubber. Seems like it was about 1/2" thick.
Lined the tire well, and the entire trunk floor. The material reminds me of big rig mud flaps, only thicker! ![]() KT

The seats are currently in my garbage trailer.
It would be a hassle to sell them. They are very heavy. Comfortable, though. Maybe someone would like come get them. KT
