Dog On Short Chain Made To Stand On Back Legs All Day, Cries In The Heat Every Day

Quote:

Horrifying pictures of a dog being tortured on a short chain have enraged animal lovers all over the world. The dog is being kept dangled on an extremely short chain, leaving him strangled and choking 24/7. The dog and his owners live in the neighborhood of Emiliano Zapata in Teloloapan, Mexico.

I know I posted pics of my Lily on here years ago. Sadly, she passed almost two months ago due to increasing difficulties with her cancer.

About a month before we put her to sleep. She came to me in a dream while I heard this song. And I don't dream with music and I'm not even a Wings fan, so I thought that was weird. The next day, I started collecting all the videos and pics I had and this was the result:

Anyway, I flew home to visit and got to be with her for her final 3 weeks. 12 years flew by...

I'm not on here often anymore, but I figured I'd share.

Thanks for sharing. A wonderful tribute. I don’t think that a dog could ask for more then what your family gave Lily. Unconditional love.

Bugsinrugs said it best.

Thanks for sharing and so sorry for your loss.

If I saw that pic above - in person - then assessed the situation as ongoing. I swear to you I would free him, take him, then find suitable home or shelter. Even If the shelter is a kill after X months in - at least he would live quality life remaining and pass humanely.

Unfortunately same people treat their kids just as bad or worse. Rescuing a kid though ..........is a lot more involved

Not too involved.

You just need to know a pig farmer or have someplace where there are alligators nearby.

Thanks for the kind words Bugsinrugs & Bugstrider. It's going to feel weird the next time I'm home and she's not there.

Sorry but this may cause some of you to have um, an allergy flair up or find there is a lot of dust in the air. :

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them.

And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.

If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and maybe

I will become as generous and loving as they are."

It is part of being their chosen human. It is like thermodynamics, all the energy is conserved; they give us the intense love and devotion during their lives, but our grieving is giving it back, too equilibrium. IMHO the beauty of it is that we get to have all that love and devotion for quite some time (usually). And our grieving is very intense, but for a relatively short period of time; and then, there is only the comfort and peace of heart for having known them, forever.

Daisy has been gone going on seven months. It is a process a key part of our relationship with them.

This dog has gotten almost cartoonishly large, freaky athletic too, I bet he could clear an 8 foot fence
