A good friend just lost her Heeler "Pepper". She pulled her from a shelter 5 years ago. Pepper had some behavioral issues and had been dumped by her previous owner. My friend gave her another amazing 5 years of life and love. Rest in Peace & run free sweet Pepper.....

As a young boy in the '70s my family acquired a fine dale pup, "Sir Galahad Flintkote Maximillion" but we called him "Sasquatch".
loyal, not too many on this planet know true loyalty. Fearless! Stupid fearless. Loving and oh so gentile, he disliked me doing anything dangerous and if he accidently caused the slightest injury he would apologize profusely. by far the best behaved member of our family.
He must have been 2yrs. old when one day I found my best friend had vanished! I know I had locked the gate that morning! I fu@$%#^ know I did! we searched everwhere. but nothing.
I had almost given up, but my father hadn't... checking papers, shelters, and just telling wonderful of Sasquatch to whoever he ran into.
while skimming the Lost and Found 'bout 7 or 8 months later. there was an ad saying " FOUND, LARGE BLACK and TAN "POODLE"". Dad called. he was telling the lady, if the dog did this one trick he would know. "Get a cookie" he told the lady on the other end. Now... Tell him to "sit up pretty" pause... Now point your finger at him and yell "BANG!!!" well this was his favorite trick, a damn fine actor, he played dead. and didn't move. boy did she get a kick out of that, I could hear.
I don't remember where, but it took a good couple hours to get my boy home. He was so happy as where we!!
He was in a horrorable state...He Had been DOG NAPPED!!! Tortured. he had no skin on all four ankles and the skin on his neck was also missing! some teeth had been broken and some missing, there were black bumps allover his face. a shotgun blast, what the hell!!! if I could still to this day find the piece of **** that did that.. i'd rather not say. but I would have some fun with them!!!
Sasquatch put in 13 more years with us. with a GRIP more stories and fun.
I now speak of him as "OLD PAINLESS" if I TELL any more tales sasquatch you will know why.
The day he passed... he ripped down the fence looking for any of us to say "good-bye". no one was there....... I SO regret.... as I am going through it again not being able to say good bye to my recently departed best friend "LOGAN"
"Rest in Peace" my Friends. you are forever loved.

Bailey is 6 years old; her people left her at a high kill shelter in Texas...she has glaucoma that has never been treated...which means she's in serious pain. Last Tuesday was Bailey's last day at the shelter, and no rescue had stepped up to help her. So ACDRI stepped up. Bailey will be arriving in Portland, Oregon the end of this week. It's most likely that she will need both eyes removed.

Bailey needs your help. At a minimum her surgery will cost close to $1,000; transport is about $350.

Most of what's left of ACDRI's funds is earmarked to cover the remaining medical bills for Bleu Moon dogs; there are ear infections and other medical bills to be covered...the money is not available for other dogs at this time.

Please help us help Bailey...at only 6, she deserves to have a life free of pain, and full of love...

Donations can be sent to the ACDRI paypal account: australiancattledogrescueinc@gmail.com

Bless & thank you, sir. Nice Yellow Tabebuia Tree!

Please give your fur-child an extra cookie from the girls! :)

Now if a few more Pelicans could step up.....even if only $5.00.....it would go to a good cause.

I'll try to keep everyone up to speed on Bailey's progress.....woof!
