Holy Crap, that is gorgeous!!!

Henry Schmidt 06-11-2014 04:57 AM

I'm thinking single trigger, single pull to fire both barrels simultaneously for enhanced fire power.

Seriously, I love the Damascus barrels.

targa911S 06-11-2014 06:10 AM

I think it needs a flashlight..

flipper35 06-11-2014 06:11 AM

Dude, laser...

HHI944 06-11-2014 06:12 AM

And an ACOG

flipper35 06-11-2014 06:36 AM

With a double, you should be able to get six rails on the front end of that beast. Just think of the accessories! An ACOG for EACH EYE!

I'll post some better pics tonight. It's a nice gun, just really not much of a need for a 10g Damascus here on So Cal. unless you want to dress in plus fours and shoot vintage sporting clays.

I'll post pics of the 16g and 20g also, beautiful Damascus on the 16, barrels redone by Keith Kearcher. He was a big LeFever guy, now I think he's more into double guns.

And two of those ridiculous vfg/bipod thingies!.....y'know, for extra tacticool stability and stuff....

In all seriousness, I've been contemplating putting an rmr on my 94...

The semi auto version is probably a much better choice for most people. Quality looks to be very good but it should be for $5 large! Thanks for the posting, I didn't know about this project!

Been busy with work, so here's the delayed version of the LeFever Collection. This is the 10 gauge E grade mfg 1891. I got it from a guy who bought it in an antique shop in Vancouver BC in the 70's. The barrels had been blued, it was dirty but basically a real sound gun even though it weighs 172 lbs.

It needed some work so Keith Kearcher took off the bluing and did the barrels and refreshed the checkering. I think I traded a Win Mod 70 in 270 that I got for $160, not a bad deal.

Here's the 16g G grade mfg 1902. Nice, light well balanced little gun with double ivory beads. Targa911s, this is the gun that needs the pinch springs.

Last is the 20g H grade mfg 1914. The small frame LeFevers are great, well balanced little guns.

You know, I was surprised, I switched from a larger heavier gun and was shocked that the recoil on the shield feels softer. Granted, the 40 will kick more than the 9, but going from 26oz to 16 oz, I would have thought would have meant much, much more recoil, but it didn't.

A little bead blasting, good as new.
