Well what can I say ... I was good this year. Sig 1911 and the the last three digits in the serial # are 911 yeh.

Getting a grip on it................

Just received these grips from John Culina in California. Made from American Black Walnut with a nice "flame" grain to the wood! The gun they are on is a pre war Colt Officers Model in .38 Special. The medallions date back to somewhere between 1909 and about 1920, making them very close to being 100 yrs old! Notice that both "ponies" face towards the muzzle of the gun!

That is really cool. That looks like a third issue Colt Officer's Special. I have a fourth issue from 1950. I have a set of walnut grips from a third issue for it. They are pretty rough, but very cool. I keep stag horn grips on it. I am thinking of painting black over the gold Colt medallions on the stag horns because they are a little blingy for me.

I went with silver. I took her out shooting yesterday, and this is a very accurate spoon.

Yeah, I'm gonna avoid that.
