I have been collecting H&R stuff for a bit. Found this working gem for $100 at my local shop....Safety needed a little attention, but it works fine for a 100 year old semi auto.

A friend recently took this photo in our Parliament House, Canberra.
(Same as you White House in Washington) Any ideas as to what he's carrying? ![]()

Not that long ago you'd never see heavily armed guards at Parliament house.
I'm sure they always had the capability but it was never on display like that. Random... ![]()

we got soldiers doing street protection in belgium
it's a great way to prevent terrorism in an area... have heavy patrols the radicals will go elsewhere I've always said, terrorists are idiots. They die in the effort and for the most part life goes on. some people get killed, news pays attention.. but nobody really changes his way of life because of it.. The "terror" is very limited

The first time I saw heavily armed security guards was at Rome airport in 1979.
I was 14 years old and I remember feeling shocked that they would be walking around like that in a public place. Looking back this was a response to the Rome airport attacks and hijacking (1973 - Palestinian terrorist). How quickly we forget... ![]()

yep, airports in the 80ies and 90ies..
and people asking you if you packed your own backs on check ins to US or Israeli flights but that was very limited... nothing on public streets.

New Space Gun
Latest addition to the pile. A Kel Tec CP33 .22 LR. Uses a 33 rd magazine! It has one of the best triggers I've tested in a plastic gun!

We inherited this. The bores were good but had some surface rust. The kids decided to refinish it.
Daughter did the "color" here as seen before the wood and barrel were done. The case hardening wasn't removed so it is there underneath the cosmetics. Then cleaned up the wood in the second pic. The wood was just cleaned up and re-oiled. ![]() Boy cleaned the rust and re-blued the barrel and trigger guard. The extension on the stock was there when we received it. ![]()

Free pistol is really big at my club. Most guys are now greasing up their hands, applying bondo to the stocks, the grabbing the pistol and allowing it to cure. Pretty ugly when finished, but an absolutely consistent grip.
Here is as close as I get, my Weihrauch HW75 air pistol (not my photo, but mine looks remarkably like this one ![]() ![]() It's a single stroke pneumatic, so no spring piston mechanism jolting it around. Far more accurate than I am.

Very nice.
I like high end air pistols. Crazy accurate and easy on the body (and ears LOL). |

Just picked this one up two years ago. Stopped at Cabela's to buy a hat and walked out with a shotgun. It's an unadvertised, not cataloged dealer special from CZ USA. I like the rounded pistol grip, extractor only action, and double triggers. Great little upland gun: ![]() My favorite upland gun, however, is this 10 gauge muzzle loader. It's actually an 11 gauge, so it can be loaded with wads that fit in modern 10 gauge shells: ![]() Still trying to figure out a use for this one. It's built on the same locks and triggers as the shotgun above, but it's a 12 gauge (.72 caliber) rifle. It regulates quite well at 50 yards with 150 grains of Swiss 1.5 Fg black powder and a patched round ball out of a Lyman mold. Maybe I'll take it hog hunting or something someday: ![]()

It is an old LeFever. Not sure the worth since it would never be sold. I am happy the kids love to do stuff like this. The boy did the .22 Model 514 earlier in this thread. She has a blinged out Marlin 30-30. Actually it is just brass Skinner aperture sights on it. We have a sxs 12g muzzle loader and .50 caliber muzzle loader they have ready to do. Both have lots of surface rust on the barrels.
Now that we replaced a broken leaf spring on the trailer they both want to use the spring steel to make knives. Yes, my kids are geeks.

Well I got my 45 caliber single shot black powder muzzle loading target pistol completed and tested yesterday. I shot 10 inches high at 25 yards and 3 inch group just like my laser bore sighter said it probably would. Due to poor eye sight I added a piece of copper tube on top of the front sight and cut the slot way down in the rear so now laser shows right on, even a little low. Shoots a 0.440 patched round ball with 30 grains of Goex FFG and closed ignition. The chunk of walnut I paid $30 for, enough for two stocks which took about two weeks to shape. Grip is very similar to a SIG 226 which feels good in my aged hands. Checkering took me several days but prevents slippage. Two coats of sealer, 5 coats of Tung oil.
