Playing around with yellow tape.
Going to try satin black instead just on this area. (I'd really like to get rid of the white scallops but don't want to mismatch the Celest, or paint any more carbon than I have to). Thoughts? (oh, and ya, I always thought that I would like to have a 928 but not quite what I was originally thinking) :D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1470768273.jpg |

Picking this up tomorrow for a song, and I can't sing for crap. Worried that it will be too small for me but for the price it's worth the gamble. Plus it's near a site I'll be working at tomorrow. |
Post and pics be kaput....post pics or it didn't happen.

2007 Giant OCR3. Needed to scratch an itch, hoping this will make me itch more.
Trying to do photos but pelican says my 721kb photo is too big. WTF? |

The seat stays on my Defy really work. My son was amazed to watch them flex under my bouncing ass. It's a comfy bike, I'm getting used to the relaxed geometry. I really like the stiffness of the BB hammering up hills. I'm not really impressed with the rear disc brakes so far. The long cable has too much flex & creates a mushy feel that doesn't inspire confidence. Maybe different pads will help. Here's yesterday's ride with my 13 year old son. |

Looks like it just needs new tubes, a tune up and a wash |
Oh, and pedals. And I might need road shoes

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471009290.jpg saddle so far is good but I could swap my old saddle if need be I guess. what's really cool is this newest Roubaix (not the redesign but still a new model) uses their 10R carbon whereas before you had to step up to the expert I think to go up from 8R to 10R. I'm sure I won't be able to tell the difference but i'll take it. I read disc brakes need bedding before they really work well. I didn't like the defy discs when I rode them myself but the frame is the best looking of the endurance bikes. The Roubaix uses rim brakes which for now I prefer. I swapped to 105 brakes (Roubaix sport comes with axis brakes) when I picked up my bike yesterday and it the difference is substantial. $57 for the brakes seems silly Specialized doesn't include them. |
Nice bikes. Mudman looks to have a 40" inseam.

Got a great deal on this frame at a local swap today. Very early 1992ish LeMond GL Titanium. 90% sure this was built by Clark-Kent in Denver, but lots of conflicting info out there in interweb land. EDIT: after reading a July 92 Bicycling article and comparing photos, I'm 99% sure this is a Litespeed, not a Clark-Kent. Better yet. $2200 frame in 1992.
Seller sourced the LeMond-Kestrel carbon fork directly from Roland Della Santa who he knows personally. I guess Della Santa applied the graphics to these. It's supposedly a team-issue frame and the previous seller said it was one of Greg's personal frames (which of course means absolutely nothing without some sort of paperwork  ). It had remnants of the Mavic Zap electronic derailleur system from 1992. Bought it to flip because it's too big for me. But now i think I'm going to build it, stretch my legs, and ride it anyway :D If anybody has info on this specific model, let me know. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471822362.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471822533.jpg |
