Maybe with modern pads and machined surfaces they will do better.....we'll see. I was under impressed when I last used them in the late 80s and early 90s. That's why I sold them.

Since they are going on my climber bike....maybe they will work out.

You still gotta come down and that's where it counts, right? Where do you normally go climbing down where you are?
