About 30 years ago my brother and I bought a schwinn tandem for my parents thinking it'd give them something to do when they retired.
This thing was perfect. Nearly zero miles, not a scratch or ding, looked brand new. My dad hung it on some hooks in the garage and the only time it's moved was when they moved to arid-zona. Sure its gonna need tires and tubes and a tune up, but that's it. Wonder wut something like that's worth? |

Did an eBay search for "Schwinn tandem", set to "completed auctions" - not very promising, sorry, didn't see even one complete bike that sold for over a couple hundred $.

Oh yeah, that was their Casino Yellow paint scheme. That what the team rode back in the late 90s.

I've always wanted an X-Light. But how much would it cost to get the hanger fixed?

The Colnago belongs to a friend of mine. He bought it at a bike show with me and ridden it very little because he had a carbon bike. It was just one of those must have things in life with the right amount of cash was burning a hole in his pocket at the moment. |

I am not sure what I want for it because I never thought about it. Its been sitting in my garage for a long time. Every time I say it will get fix, something comes up and I lose interest. |

It sounds too nice for what I want to do with it.....I'm looking for a flatland beach bomber candidate......
If JYL wants to restore it to former glory, let him have at it....

That's a cool bike. I had a similar issue with my Technos...well, long story but my kid leaned it against the front of my pickup after a race, I didn't know it was there and went to move the truck, front wheel went over the rear derailleur and all it did was bend the hangar severely and crack it.
Tom Kellogg is local, and did the repair and repaint/blend of the stay. Well worth it-Master xl's are going for high 7's to over 1k on ebay.

Not very, by modern standards. Built with components of the period, they were around 20lbs.
The ride is sublime, though, and they feel sorta like a big benz-smooth supple, and very very stable.

I just spent $1,300 on our cat, who was then buried under her favorite bush on Friday. Guess that could have bought me a M-XL.

I'm super - sorry about the cat, John.
(Animals as pets and kids are always going to be a tough combination, family harmony-wise.)

Just sold the last of my NOS Vittoria's.
Next topic- pic posted of the Mantis X frame. Reminds me of the first Cannondales with 20 inch rear and 26 inch fronts! I kid you not. Funnnky mtb frames back then.
