I'm really impressed by all the cool bikes on this thread.
Here's my new baby: Boardman Air 9.8, SRAM Red, San Marco Aspide saddle, Ritchey carbon bars & stem, Hed Stinger 6 wheels, Look Ti/carbon pedals (not shown) 14.2 lb.

Boardman is very cool.
I'll post pics shortly of my latest toy, a Chinese open mold Fm066 (Hongfu bikes is manufacturer, they're sold undr other names also). Tube shapes roughly like a Cervelo R5, frame only 835g in a 50, fork around 450g, build w/full DA 7800 somewhere in the 14 range I would guess, need to get it on a scale. The best part is that with post, headset , integrated carbon bars and stem, and some odds and ends it was under a grand shipped to US. After a couple short rides I can say that its more comfy than my prior carbon bike ('04 Madone) while giving up nothing in handling, substantially lighter and snappier as a result, and pretty nice handling-haven't tried any hairbrained descents. Only complaint is that internal cable routing is a *****, have to take off ports and fish out the cable with hemostats or the like, but suspect that any frame that is compatible with both Di2 and standard cables is this way.

I've never been a fan of Shimano. I've had too many STI shifters fail just sitting in a bike rack in the off-season. I rode Campy Record on all of my steel frame road bikes for 20 years but today's Super Record is super expensive for no benefit other than it's Campy, IMO. On the other hand, I'm very impressed with SRAM. BTW, I've got another new steed on the way: Ridley Helium/SRAM Force to be my main workhorse. I'll post pictures when I get it. Now that I've spent time on carbon bikes, I'm thinking that all steel bikes belong in museums

My hybrid titanium and carbon bike is likely my last bike unless a driver decides to take me and the bike out......my back up being a 30 year columbus steel bike.
I don't see me on a new geewhiz full CF frame as I don't have the motor to push it to it's limits. I DO like the look of the non flashy ones.....

Anyone have a recommendation for an aero back pack for outerlayer removal storage? I'm doing longer rides and starting in the early AM.....

Two long sleeves jersey and good arm warmers. peel them off as you get warm. I usually tug it behind my back under my short sleeve jersey. Normally I deal with the freezing temp. and ride like hell to warm up on a set of arm warmers only. Sooner or later, it will get warm once cranking get started.
