I might have mentioned this here before. We built this one up few months ago for my kid with period correct DA 9 spd. I would have done with more modern parts as being period correct isn't a big deal to me but I have a couple groups of it hanging around from bikes past why not. Anyway, he helped (age 16) and got it done. WE went out for a ride and he rode it exactly one time. Came home, hung it up where this pic was taken and that was it. He has a 23 Trek Emonda with 12 spd Ultegra. I am not sure if I should mad or sad? I should understand because I didn't like the half chrome forks on bikes from the late 70s when I started riding in the mid to 80s. Thought they were too old looking.

Oh, its Masterlight BTW
I'm guessing that's a 53cm center to center (seat tube) frame.

Would you consider selling the frame only?

So I bought new skewers for my 2003 LeMond. Shimano Ultegra. This is the installation instructions. It's 2-sided. For skewers.

No. That's his bike now but if we do, you will be the first to be notify.

That is not an attractive groupset. Late to the party and expensive. Still, I'm sure there will be plenty of fans that can't wait to have one.

Just like very other group set out there, black. Well, carbon but I am OK with its looks. Unlike the glory days past, shiny, polished alum or Ti. I don't think its butt ugly but I'm sure its more money then DuraAce which I rather have. I ride SRAM Red wireless now and it works very well but I hate the feel of the lever. My kid has Ultegra and it is flawless including the feel.

It just looks huge on the bike.
I saw a pricetag of 5500, so a couple thousand more than Sh or Sr. Maybe there will be discounts. It doesn't matter, not for me.

Campy and I got a divorce when they came out with the index lever shifting. I paid my entire savings for it and it didn't work. Bought DA 8 spd and it was flawless. No more for me but I am now a closet Campy lover. I still love the looks of the old Super Record. AFter riding modern levers for over 25 -30 years, I grabbed hold of the old levers and noticed how awful they felt in my hands
