Rolex 24 2013 - official thread.

One of these years I would like to go, but the tickets seem to be hard to get.

Just curious as to who will be the favored to win this year (what is the right combo in DP.) Ganassi is still running a Riley-BMW combo this year with new driver combos in each car. Starworks and Shanks are running Riley-Ford combos. Taylor is running a DP Corvette. DP is usually a run till it breaks class and the last man standing wins.

As for the GT class would like to see the Alex Job GT3 Cup car on the podium but also would like to see Lally win with Magnus.

15 hours away in the frozen north. Very nice of you. Thanks.... but can't make it this year. I do have plans to go to Sebring though.

Great day of Rolex 24 practice & qualifying even if several teams are sandbagging, yes it's a long race. OK table reservations are set at Daytona Ale House for Friday at 7:30 pm under "Pelican Porsche". To get there take International Speedway Blvd out toward I-95 and get almost to the northbound on ramp and turn right into the shopping center with the big sign: Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels and Old Navy. Turn in and then hang left to the restaurant. See you guys there, hope there is a good turnout!

I know in years past, on Saturday once the Infield gets so many cars, they will not let you enter Pass or not. And it gets packed around 11am, 4 Hours before the Green Flag.

A couple of years ago, I was getting the Food for the PCA Corral and I had to get a Grand-Am Official to ride with me so we could get back into the Infield and even then we had Bribe the Gate Guard!

Got up at 5, loaded the 911, started down to the race, and got to I-95S and a coughing fit hit, and when that happens, I get, light headed ( I tend to vagel) so had no choice to pull off, take a few minutes and head home..
May try again later as the 911 is still loaded and fueled.
