Oh boy, got some stories that were kinda humiliating at the time.

Sometimes, ya gotta drop some cash on the table and run like freaking hell.

Once a gal grabbed me and kissed me....I let the tongue slip. She pulled back as if repulsed. That cost me cab fare.....

Oi....gotta million of them.

Wimmen, can't live with them or without them.

I use a messaging program that lets me IM folks. It has a place for a photo to show up beside the text. I only use it for my wife and daughter so I put in the only headshot photo I had on that computer...one of me at 17 in my tux for senior prom...70s haircut and all.

Recently the site that does the messaging started a dating service and loaded my email and photo into the system (did not ask me). I have been getting constant emails from what appear to be 18 to about 22 year old women wanting to connect. Most are sending photos and are very attractive. Some are partially or totally nude. Of course I just delete them and do not respond...but if this had been available back then when I was single...it seems that it would been great.

Just have fun with it... It's "dating" after all.

I lasted two weeks and three dates (only two men) with online dating. Hated it. You needed an administrative assistant to go through all the winks and dumb emails. You were lucky if you found a decent one after sifting through a hundred of those things. Wasn't my thing.

I know nothing of the sorts but have met some of my nephews 'chicks ordered from the net'. He's been doing real goooooood! All aside, he's a decent kid and think his problem is picking one from the cream of the crop... LOL. All were / are very nice, well presented, attractive and pleasant in conversation.

Good luck on your search.

Thanks, but I'm not black. Though I'm sure all minorities are not the first choice online.

You're a girl.

In my first 11 days, I've received 8 responses from 3 women out of the 18 emails I sent out.

I've got 1 date. One raincheck for a future day (doubtful). And one possible scammer.

The guys I met were nice. Ended up just not being my type. Keep in touch with one still.

It was a job. And yes, maybe because I was a girl but it wasn't all peachy keen. Think about it. Getting about 10 emails a day from random dudes with maybe one (mostly none) having some wit to them. And the stupid winks. Those things are ridiculous. About three times as much as the emails. What am I supposed to do with a wink? Introduce yourself in a nice email. Not one that says, "wassup? You look hot in your picture."

Wow. My prince in shining armor...

From Pete's online dating protocol.

If you get a wink from someone who seems interesting, wink back and then it's OK for that someone to contact you via a personal message.

My biggest problem is I have one good picture of me that was recent, it's not anymore. and it's not even a good picture, doesn't show me that well (which is why it's a good picture ) I refuse to take a pic in the mirror or the dreaded selfie, but I'm not part of a picture-taking crowd.

I need to work on my profile text too. Too much of a book I think now.

Have been married 27 years. If my wife left this earth first(unlikely as she is extremely health conscious) and if I went internet dating(I am now 67 yo) I would let it be known to any date that I would be leaving my estate to my daughter. That would clear the decks of any gold diggers. I would hate to think that money would muddy the waters of a relationship. I see it happen so often. Guy.

Why no go out with your friends. Meet a lady the old fashioned way. That's what I do now and we stay in touch via FB.

Tinder is for young people IMO. A friend tried it and a "Happy ending" girl was the only lady who showed interest in him.

OK... SO you want weird!

I guy contacts me on a dating site. Long story short... He wants me to go into his wife's work and take secret photos of her and then send them to him.

I couldn't help myself... I go in. It's a shoe shop. He described her to me and I tried some shoes on with her help.
I had the opportunity but when it came right down to it I just couldn't take any photos.
She was gorgeous and to this day I still can't understand what the guy was on about or why he'd want a total stranger to take photos of her.

If you think about it I could have been some sicko with bad intentions and he's directing me to his wife????

I can see why guys cut and paste when 60% of the messages sent out get ignored anyway.

I'm still thoughtfully writing each one (which is why I send out so few)...But after a while, I may just say f it. It's tough...And I'm a writer / producer! I write for a living. lol.

That is a frustrating part of it. I write nice, what I think thoughtful, opening emails that speak to something in their profile. Many times I don't get a response. So they are definitely not someone for me.
