Just got this '68 together for a friend. It was his dad's car, sat for years.

We built a 383 stroker for it, original 327 was long gone. Dyno'd it at 390HP to the wheels, Lots of go-fast stuff, original 4-speed, all new suspension bushings and brakes.

Got a new hood coming as well.

Really fun to drive. It handles like a truck, but its loud and fast.

I worked for a corvette restorer in high school mostly C-2 & C-3 in the 80"s

65-67 trip my trigger convertibles in particular some pretty raw power with the 427. They are easier to drive than my 930 but pretty raw and visceral all the same. The 911 is a consistent better looking car. C vette is more affordable car to own and keep , not a lot of surprises the transmission is bomb proof.

The new ones are pretty hard to ignore the Z06 is pretty awesome performance wise.
The styling is still a bit over the top.

I would consider owning a Corvette, cheapest horsepower for the dollar they are quite predicable.

I would take this car at the drop of a hat.

Corvette is a dirty word around here? I must have missed the memo.

Yes, I know that is a spambot, but somebody probably said that in this thread, that is what they do

I like Corvettes, well, some of them. This thing was very fast and well sorted. It was beautiful. I don't think a photograph captures how impressive the paint was on it. Can't remember if it was the Evo school or an SCCA thing, but it was at Marina Airport, and you see some pretty groovy cars out there.

I would do some bad, bad things to have that in my garage. Damn.....

I'm with you guys on the Z06 as well, the C5 sells for stupidly low amounts of money. I made an offer for one at $15000 a while back, I think someone else beat me at $15500. Just a crazy amount of car for the money.

My father was a Corvette nut first... then around 1970 he got into Porsche's too. Here is one of his Corvettes with all the Dick Gulstrand suspension tricks and a L88 427 in it. Flared with fatties on it. Photo is sometime around 1974 +/-

Anyone interested in a 68??
1968 T Top Coupe, 327ci / 350hp with 4 spd manual transmission
Black exterior/black interior

Currently fitted with a pair of very nice after market seats but it comes with the original factory seats which are in great condition

Currently the car has an after market steering wheel but the original steering wheel comes with the car and shows in excellent condition

This is a very nice restoration of some years back. The undercarriage is very well preserved and shows no evidence of crash, deterioration, or neglect and is exceptionally clean

The engine number and chassis number do match,

I've had that pic stored on my Iphone as long as I can remember. It's the epitome of Corvettes IMO.

I almost pulled the trigger on this one. But, I couldn't let my red cab go.
