This is "Butters" da uber beater. 1981 911SC with 1985 3.2 engine. I've owned this one for 7 years. Probably never get rid of it as I just can't find anything as odd/cool/fun as an air cooled 911.

Picked mine up in Brussels in April 1970, so 44 years. It is getting a makeover at the moment. This was my sons gender announcement for my grandson, due in a couple of weeks

How many years............

As of February I will have owned my SC coupe for 18 years. It is the longest that I have kept any car! Over the years, I have given it new paint, interior, suspension, brakes and a 3.3SS engine. It now lives in a heated and air conditioned shop except when it is out blasting around the state.

14 Years

I don't have pictures of the the first time I saw this 1975 Targa in 1976. But it would have been driven by my wife's father when she was 14. I had a crush on her through most of high school. Fast forward 10 years. He died as the pilot in his twin engine private plane. The car sat with only occasional care and registration until 2000.

That is when I married that girl. It took another year to arrange ownership from my mother in law. 40 K miles on the clock. Want the Whole Story? I started with the brakes and redid the wheels in 2001, Upholstery in 2002,

Paint in 2004, Suspension 2007, Engine rebuild in 2008. All DIY. Now I am back to the beginning. New brake lines.....next - new leather seat skins .... and the body and paint are looking rough. Life with this daily driver is a big circle.

Engine rebuild - done 7/08 - added 28 tube cooler and SSIs - running strong. Ducktail painted.

24 years. Bought it running but smoking from my neighbor for 1000.00. Scrubbed off 7 paint layers and found aubergine.
