My son showed me this. I thought it was funny. It's the Lombardi Trophy for the Patriots if they win.

canna change law physics

I have a small portable air compressor for tires. The finned area heats up pretty quick. It is not taking ALL of the energy away, but it takes some.
Oh, and I forgot, using the ideal gas law doesn't exactly work for air compressors Tout = [Tin] + [(Tin) x ((PR)^0.263 - (1)) / (CE)] Reference https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/gas-turbine-engine-compressor-discharge-air-temperature-calculation.677829/ Assume here a CE of 100% ~ 1 Tin = 70F = 530R PR = 27.2/14.7=1.85 PR^0.263-1=0.1757 Tout =530R+530*.1757R=623.1R=163.1F So, the air entering the ball is 163.1F, at the END of the cycle. The air temp at the beginning is much lower since the PR is near 1. Some the air temp in the ball is somewhere between 70F and 163F. If someone wants to integrate the equation from a PR of 1 to 1.85, go ahead. If even 1/2 way it would be 116F. And if the compressor efficiency is lower, then the temp goes UP.

If that's the case then we're done here. The league can apologize now. Haters can keep hating on their regular scheduled program like the Broncos fans who whine that they can't win in New England during the regular season.

Wow - 12 pages. I missed a lot.
As to the science side, we all agree that pressure is directly related to temperature via the ideal gas law. However, units of measurement matter. Edit: I had a sort of long winded response written, only to find an article that covered it with Pascal and Kelvin as the units of measurement. Deflate-Gate: Could weather have played a role in deflated balls? They find that the balls could have been deflated by as much as 0.7psi based on temperature and atmospheric conditions. Again, it didn't matter in the game. SB49 will highlight the two best teams in the league. The refs may not have checked the pressure before the game appropriately, the ball-boy may have let some air out in the bathroom - we don't know (see, I'm just like Tom Brady). Oh, and as to the low total fine amount - keep in mind the company Goodell and Craft keep. |

Oh well, I tried to vote for the Seahawks in that poll but it didn't take it. The way it looks though they didn't need my vote.

I just hope that it's a good game.
I like to watch the poetry of supreme athleticism...no matter who it is. . BTW, that Marshawn Lynch is a savage, eh? He runs like the law is after him...just refuses to be stopped, caught, and handcuffed. ![]() . He's fun to watch.

Ah ... no, I changed my mind, I'm not going to go there. This topic is far too serious for juvenile bathroom jokes.

This is why this whole "deflategate" is a non story to me, they ALL cheat, every single team, in one way or another is trying to get an advantage:

Three of the refs who admittedly made bad calls that favored the Steelers in the 2006 Super Bowl (Steelers vs. Seahwaks) are reffing in today's game. Let's hope it doesn't come down to penalty calls.

Few things stink like hypocrisy.
An offensive tackle wraps his arms around the defender on every play, and ask long as he doesn't get flagged for his breaking the rules they call it "good blocking". If a defender puts his hands in the tackle's face and doesn't get cause it's good defense. If a defensive back tackles the receiver but doesn't get flagged it's good defense. UNLESS THE TEAM DOING IT IS THE PATRIOTS. It's only cheating if the patriots do it. What I should do is search back about 5 years ago when I was fightin' off the haters who were talking smack about Pete Carroll being a cheater at USC. Sure his coaching staff was blamed for breaking the rules and brought a great team to it's knees with sanctions and such, right before be bailed. Was he personally responsible for cheating? I don't think so, but many of you with very short memories did. Common thread? At the time USC was a legacy of winning, a legacy of success. So obviously the loosers had to hate. But they sure like him now. What changed? How many games to the sea-chickens hafta win before you start hatin on them and accusing them o'cheating? Or it is some perverse PNW thing? All big giant successful corporations and legacy winning football teams are totally evil cheaters. Except apple, the dux, and the sea-chickens. Is that it? |

Report on the deflation of the balls finally released today--doesn't look good for Pats especially Brady--so much for his Sgt. Schultz "I know nothing" press conference.

Who knows boyles law in regards to hell?
this was an actual question given on a university chemistry exam: 'is hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Support your answer with proof.' Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s law (gas cools off when it expands and heats up when its compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into hell and the rate they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to hell. since there are more than one of these religions, and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as the are we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of volume in hell because Boyle’s law states that in order for temperature and the pressure in hell to stay the same, the volume of hell has to expand as souls are added. this gives two possibilities: 1. if hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose. 2. of course, if hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms. Tracey Nicholson during my first year at college- ‘that it will be a cold night in hell before I sleep with you’ and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in that area, then (2) cannot be true, and hell is exothermic. this student got an A |

C'mon jimmy needs some new kicks.
Omg spaz! Wow this is some comical stuff. Agree with the idea that they all cheat.
