From the CNN article:

"Our officers took fire and responded appropriately, returning fire," the sergeant said, adding that it was "most likely" that three or four of the 18 Waco officers on-site opened fire.

No idea what happened, but it really sounds like a stretch for cops to fire all the rounds that kill nine bad guys. Surely, someone had a camera out, probably even the venue. There are many police shootouts where about 1% of the rounds fired hit someone. So killing nine bad guys just sounds way too good for typical police shooting.

Actually, you really don't get it, the Police don't bring out the tear gas and stuff for the gang, but for the idiots who come and riot after the criminals are shot. The reason they didn't need riot gear for the biker gang, is most in the White community thank police officers for taking criminals off the street, not protest & riot.

Driving past a few biker bars the other day, had a few pass us and rush to the next watering hole. Questioning why they never get busted for under the influence or get the pass at roadblocks???? I can walk into any of those bars and find many well tanked.

Re: who shot who, the last I heard, the police investigators are saying they believe at this point that police bullets only killed 3 or 4 of the bikers. Forensics/ballistics are not complete.

The world is still busy being outraged by the lion and the dentist. They'll forget about it in another week or so.

The fight turned out to be a proxy war between the HA, who doesn't have much of a presence in the area and the Banditos (however the name is spelled) who are the dominant MC gang in the area. In essence it was a high level turf battle between organized crime syndicates. There hasn't been much of a follow up or outrage because most of the people who were arrested are professional criminals, and as professionals they act professional without a lot of unnecessary histrionics. They know they deserve the sentences they're about to get and they don't complain and pretend otherwise.

On a related note, the reason you're hearing so much about Cecil the Lion is that Planned Parenthood hired a PR firm to pump the story to minimize the media attention that the abortion videos are getting now. The idea is that if the American public vents its spleen over Cecil it won't have the energy to be outraged over Cecille. There's a good article on it over at RealclearPolitics.com called something like "Why the outrage over Cecil but not Cecille" or something like that where you can get the real insider story.
