The lake levels are still really low in central Texas. Buchanan and Travis are 30 and 33 feet low as of this morning. The LCRA has projected that Travis will rise to 652 feet by Wednesday, not factoring in more rain, which is forecast for most of the afternoon today. That's the highest it will have been since 2011. Full is 681.
Last week, they opened 2 public access boat ramps on Lake Travis for the first time since I don't know when. Things are looking better, but it's still a long way from good.

I'm more concerned about the level of the Edwards Aquifer than anything else.

The Edwards (unlike most aquifers) recharges very quickly with heavy rains in the recharge zones in the hill country. It should be doing really well now.

I hope so, my family gets their water from there. Since moving I haven't kept up with levels but I've seen it get crazy low in the past. Same with the Blanco - almost 20 years ago I remember mountain biking nearly dry stretches of the river.

5 dams opened at Starcke (Marble Falls) now, Lake Travis is getting a much needed refill. Lamar Blvd, is a river in downtown Austin. Stay safe.

I guess so far I've been in the lucky zone. We've had a few sprinkles. Yesterday was beautiful and we had the windows open until the well into the evening. Today was sunny. We drove through about 2-3 seconds of sprinkle (while the sun was shining) earlier today. It's cloudy now.
I hope everyone is doing OK.

The water in Buffalo Bayou was very high. We haven't lived near BB long, but wow, the water is high, and it's not finished raining yet. Unfortunately, none of the webcams that I can find for BB are working, and I didn't stop to take a pic tonight. Quote:

I have been in San Antonio this weekend and plan to drive home today and see what is left. My neighbor said we got over 8 inches of rain last night in our neighborhood and we now have waterfront property as the green belt behind our property is flooded.

The old record for rain for any one month ever in Oklahoma was about 14.5 inches We are almost to 19 inches now. In one month! It is supposed to rain some almost every day for the rest of the month.
The drought is over. Almost every lake is full and dumping water into the rivers. Only a couple of lakes are still below full but all the run-off has not reached the lakes. Some lakes are 15 feet over normal capacity.

News reporting that yesterday was most rainfall ever recorded in one day in Austin. Lot of swollen creeks and continued flooding in the area. Not a good time to exercise the 911
