Yea, the other day the bosses wife made me fix the toilet in the master bedroom. I had to make a trip to the professional plumbing supply place to get the parts at my cost. I got even with the boss by driving his Porsche and sleeping with his wife.

At last, I've found a support group. I'm still hoping for sexual harassment but at 60, the hope is starting to fade.

Don't be so sure that you are not open for harassment charges. If you have ever worked with a woman or even talked to them (at work, in a mall, restaurant, etc.) you are fair game. Especially if you ever attended an office Christmas Party or social function. You are guilty until proved innocent. 40 years ago, it was polite to compliment a woman's outfit, new hairdo, etc. and rude if you did not. Now that is considered harassment. Similarly, many folks have dated (or asked out) women they met at work or through work (or rejected women's advances at work). Since a large portion of one's waking hours/lifetime are spent in the workplace, it has always been a place to meet potential mates (especially with the decline in church attendance).

I have seen women build a case in their heads where what actually went on was on camera.
Amazing what twisted perverted things came out of their mouth compared to the real events. No one is "safe" merely by being innocent. Fing, I'm sorry black effects you that way, its probably one of the most attractive choice of dye's from my perspective for a woman to employ in her outfit. |

During the first Persian Gulf conflict I was the Airboss on the USS La Salle, the command ship for Commander Middle East Forces. I had a 45 man department. When the Tenders were in port at Mina Sulman in Manama, it was the wild west. I had to restrict guys to the ship there were so many fights, often over the same young lady, over and over. In the government bureaucracies I worked in the amount of hooking up that went on was Onion-esque...rampant from the top down.

Most of the things I was taught (when growing up) that a gentleman does as a matter of habit can be construed as sexual harassment now. I do treat women differently than men (other than performance expectations at work). I stand when a lady comes into the room, offer my seat or chair if there are none, hold the door, offer to carry any heavy object, pay for the meal or coffee, offer my coat if cold, etc.. If there is a dirty or physically strenuous task to be accomplished, I offer to help. I do exactly the same for my daughter and wife.
If is see a woman that I have not seen in a while. I usually say "you look great! I never mention if they have gained weight or look older...but often comment if otherwise. If they look particularly nice or have made a significant change (new outfit, shoes, hairdo), I always notice and compliment them. I generally do the same for men. Women do seem to genuinely appreciate being treated like a woman (as men did when I was younger). I have overheard them comment on my behavior positively. I do not intend to change, but also have always avoided being alone with women (outside of family) since I was married. As far as I am concerned, I have never harassed a woman...but, if I were in a position where someone might gain by attacking me, I don't know if my behavior would come back to haunt me or not. I am probably safe because I probably don't have anything that anyone wants.

I don't see a problem with holding a door open for a woman, or a man for that matter, I do it at work all the time and people seem to appreciate it. I see that as just being a nice person.

Fresh out of college mid 70’s I worked at a Carbon Black plant. Women were pretty much new in the workforce there and in a plant of 100 people there were only 6 or 7 women. There were 4 shifts of 8-10 with operators in charge of units with 4-7 furnace reactors per unit, there were 5 units that made various types of carbon black that was then peletized in a separate unit, another unit for adding acetic acid, and then finally the packers which through a vacuum system filled heavy paper bags/sacks anywhere from 25lbs to 60lbs. Stacked on a pallet of 40-50 bags the stacked pallets were transferred to storage in massive warehouses using fork lifts. The beginning job was a packer and there were 4-5 of them. Because it was a union job there were 3 breaks of 30 minutes in an 8 hr shift. The foreman were mostly WW2 vets mostly marine. Most had been there 30+ years and knew every job top to bottom. The pay was great the downside you had to work in carbon black. To counteract you would coat your face with talcum powder wear cotton long underwear year round which pretty much kept it off your body. If you didn’t rub your face it would be mostly white at the end of your shift. You were paid 30 minutes overtime to bathe out using a 5 gallon bucket lined with soap bars and the hottest water you could stand.
Our shift had a woman that flirted with every guy no matter who they were. She was 30 and to me not that hot. I was 22 and married to a tall good looking gal. She would try to flirt but I just ignored her. I worked with another guy same situation young married to a babe and he ignored her too. My wife had cooked pot roast for dinner that we ate at 6pm. She had made me a sandwich out of it which I ate at 2am on the midnight shift. My friend was about 10 feet from me and all of a sudden starts barfing uncontrollably. I’m standing there watching and the same thing happens to me. We both finished our shift and at the time I thought the roast had made me sick. Long story short she had poisoned both of us. Had the audacity to put rat poison it in our sandwiches since neither of us drank coffee. Couple months later the plant was down for a major turnaround and everyone on shift was working days to help with the maintenance. That little hag would go to the different break rooms and make coffee for everyone and then spike it. When 30 guys got sick in one day someone should have figured something wasn’t right. Several months later I started a job in another city and kind of forgot about it. Then a guy she was bonking out in the country when they were supposed to be at the monthly union meeting had a severe car crash. The guy thought he was going to die so he spilled the story to his wife. She had been poisoning guys she didn’t like for years. She had been blowing the plant manager in his office during breaks. There was a big trial and probably 6 or 7 guys including the plant manager were fired. She went to prison for some years. She only got me that one time but had been spiking the coffee for years. Good old reverse harassment.

![]() How about kneeling on a wooden floor with a handful of sand thrown at you first. BTW put your nose in the circle on the wall too. I eventually bit that Nun when she tried to beat my bare ass in front of the class. My Dad told her; you try that again I'll punch you, only I beat his bare ass. My Dad was my hero.

In my 45 years in the workforce I worked retail and then DOD contractor . Whether it was 30 years ago or last week you have to think about what you are saying or doing in mixed company . It's one thing to say to a woman " you look nice today " vs " you Edited. I’ll never understand
If you are that stupid guess what you are heading to HR at some point . It's a place of business not Tony's pool hall . Same thing for getting handsy. Use the big head guys Last edited by Seahawk; 12-04-2022 at 02:31 PM.. |

I'll bet you don't say that in Tony's Pool Hall either.

I can't believe JessyRich has disappeared too. These three should be named "Sybil" due to the multiple personalities.
