on-ramp, don't feel bad about not knowing about the bar--this is the first I've heard of how to properly use it also! Great thread!

Okay guys, this is the first I have heard about the bar too. I just had to walk outside to look at mine. Apparently it is wrong too. Someone please take a picture to show how it SHOULD go.

Oh, and another picture...

89Cab,

I was one bid away from buying those exact wheels and putting them on my black cab.

Why did you take yours off?

Stone43:
the chromes have minor curb rash and oxidation. I found perfect silver mille miglia cups with tires on ebay (picture on the ultimate driver thread). the chrome mille miglias have new Kuhmos, so I'm just waiting for other tires to wear out, then mount the Kuhmos. will then trade/give the chromes away. (would sell the chromes now for the price of mounted replacement Kuhmos. drive north and come get 'em.)

v9ff, are those Euro bumpers? Whatever they are, I like them. I've decided to get rid of mine...it's just I don't know what I'll replace them with.

I'm with those that haven't been using the bar correctly when putting the top down. Going on 6 years of doing it the wrong way!

The two straps, when working properly will not allow the bar to go where it is not supposed too. That bar can actually poke right through the top (ask how I know) The straps are still available from the dealer.

Add another cab owner to the bar folding wrong pile. I've had my car for two years and assumed the bar just folded that way.

So, since I haven't seen anybody ask this question, I'll be the dumby and ask...How do you get the bar to fold the correct way? are there any pics of the proper way? While I'm asking questions, I'll add one more. What's best for the back window, to unzip and let the top close normally or put a towel/sheet between the window?

Great thread, I really like porsche coupes, but I love the cabs.

Hope you all are having a great summer, Ron

BTW, reesteww sweat looking turbo!
