Man, you guys never cease to amaze me!!! The ingenuity and creativity on this site is incredible!! I LOVE the internet!
Chad,
That is one of the coolest set ups I've seen. Almost factory looking, very very cool.

Believe it or not, I think I would have painted that whole business white. Nevertheless, from an ex fabricator to another, you did an outstanding job.

(PS, a deep silver pewter color on the exhaust grills/trim would have been interesting too.)
They were not too much work once I figured out how i was going to make the radiuses and decide on the anchorage points. I wasted a bunch of time first considering aluminum. I don't have a tig so I tried welding some pieces of Al with my mig using Al wire and preheating, but it just didn't work.

I seriously considered painting it white, I may photoshop it and see if i like it. They looked really cool in raw steel before etch primer and paint.

Thanks for the comments.

Just a plug for Brian's valance. It is a very nice part, holes all lined up, gel coat is perfect and it fit with no modifications. It also was well packed and shipped in a timely fashion. Thanks so much.

I think this looks better than the Ruf Boxster I saw some years ago where the exhausts came out through the bumper area.

Thanks for posting. Always good to see an original idea.

Just one thing... It may be better to get rid of the over riders and relocate the number plate lights.
I'm concerned that long term the exhaust heat will damage the over riders and lights.

wow, that set up looks great! As far as it not being as loud as you expected, I have a Magnaflow catback on my truck, and thought the same thing when I first put it on. After almost 1K miles, it became noticably louder, so I guess they just take a while to break in.

They were fabricated by the OP.

Chad-

I'll echo - amazing execution of your concept. I also wondered how much better it'd look without the rubber trim and over riders (as some other Pelicans have done to their mid-gen 911s). Here's a preview based on my limited Photoshop skills:

Those aren't plastic. He fabbed them out of steel strap... 1/8" or so.

Plastic would melt.

I don't park my car on the street, but if he does and he removes these then he runs the gambit of some a-hole hitting the tail pipes.

I think this is a good excuse to buy an IR thermometer and see if this is going to be an issue ,but so far to the touch it doesn't seem to be getting hot over there. I was hoping that the lights would also light the exhaust. I still don't know how it will look yet because something happened and the lights aren't working. I need to troubleshoot this. I really like the look of the bumpers without the bumperettes but I drive this car daily in the chaos of urban life and really need the protection.

I will report back on this. I have about 600 miles and it may be a bit louder now but I would be fine with it getting even louder. It doesn't upset my neighbors at this point and that is just not acceptable.

When you look inside the muffler it is hard to understand how it is so effective at sound reduction because it is a straight through design, no baffles, just a perforated pipe and packed fiberglass.

I guess that most of the parts could be provided in a kit (euro bumperettes are getting harder to find), but cutting the bumper holes would have to be done on the car. I am not in the business of doing this work on a scale beyond my own cars, but someone could and I have no issues with that. I see this as an open source product. I imaging others will make it better, as is already being discussed here.

That being said, if anyone locally needed my help in getting this done I would be up for that.
