Certainly it might not make much of a difference, depending on what you are going to use the pcar for...

Baja - you might want to get out those dies...

at the rate I'm going, I should be done by the time I'm 60!

If I can get life to slow down, maybe we can unveil our projects at about the same time, but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit yet! I'm afraid that unless I start making some real progress, you and Cary are going to write me off as a poser! See y'all tonight at the BnB!

these things make WONDERFUL holes in sheet metal - they are not cheap (you can buy cheap ones but they suck) and they leave nice round clean holes!

loving this!

Yes, step bits are the schnit for drilling sheetmetal. Beautiful round holes with a slight chamfer on the edge, no burrs. Gotta have a couple in the toolbox.

Eric - I have a few of those you can borrow - as long as I can also drop off some parts needing go-fast holes in 'em

News of the day...my over worked, piece of junk air compressor pump gave up the ghost. Had to order a new one. Gonna be a week or so before it gets here. What to do without air...hmmm. Maybe time to start fabing up and fitting the window straps.

Doors and windows

Spent the afternoon trying to figure out how to attach leather straps for the window strap, door pull and latch. I won't be using the hardware that's shown in this picture but at least its together. I purchased the leather from a country hardware store, it was part of a horse saddle strap. Now I just have to figure out how to hold the window strap up, snaps or?

Hey Eric!

Just wanted to say thank you for chatting with me today. It was a real treat to see all the awesome work you have been doing on your car. It was fun seeing your vision in progress and nice of you to make the time to show me your "stuff". Hearing what you have in mind for the finished product got me excited to see it back on the road again next spring.
Good thing you have such a ferocious guard dog to keep it all safe!
Hope to see you at burgers & beer soon. Keep the thread going, so we can all share in the results! Thanks again for the hospitality.
Mark
