Seat re-dye

I purchased a set of sport seats from a local guy the other week. Finally getting around to to re-dyeing them. Doing a color change from grey to black. Lots of sanding and prep work but it looks like its paying off as the first seat back is looking good.

Before:

After: (not even dry or buffed yet)

I'm using the Leatherique brand products to rejuvenate the leather and do the color change.

Wow....you've been a busy bee there Eric.

Curious about the SSI's and the DEQ with your newer model car. How's that work?

Guess we'll all be seeing Gretchen at a Spring B&B?
Looking great!

Doug, Spring is the goal! No worries about SSI's up where I live. I don't have to DEQ the car anymore. I'll be hanging onto the old exhaust just in case they change the law.

Eric...

Do you need any wheel spacers for your car?

I've got the following:

(2) 5/8" thick

(2) 5/16" thick

(2) 1/4" thick

Cleaning out the garage.
Thought of you or Josh as possibly needing these in the future on your projects.
Free for the taking just let me know.

The next Thurs B&B in Nov will be my last for quite some time as I'm heading back to Thailand.
Let me know, and I could bring them that night.
Or mail them to you....

Hey Doug- if Eric can't use 'em, I'd be happy to take care of them for you while you're in Thailand- I still have to solve my own 15" wheel conundrum on a fat-bodied car!

That works too Curt.
Maybe I can give them all to you...
And you can dole them out to the others who might need them?
Guess I can wait to hear back from the Eric and Josh.
I'll be at the B&B on the 8th.
With spacers in hand (or box).

oops- didn't mean to try to shoulder in ahead of either Eric or Josh! (sorry guys!) I'm good with whatever!

Might be a good excuse for me to trudge up to Washougal and see Gretchen for meself! Eric- we need more pictures!!!

Curt

ps: if you're going to be at the B&B in spirit only for a while, will we be able to get in one last Kermie fix before your long sabbatical? I'm sure Eric and I could both benefit from a little more inspiration!

Yes Doug, I think the 1/4" and 5/8" would work great! Thank you Sir!

OK....I'll bring all the spacers with me next Thurs.

Who ever is there amongst you....Curt or Eric, I'll leave them with you to dispense as necessary.

Barring another hurricane Sandy in our neck of the woods, I'll definitely be bringing Kermie for one last fix in driving.
I should have the new top secret harnesses installed.
Maybe an additional cosmetic improvement here and there as well.

See you then.

Doug - I just replied to your email saying the Eric could probably use them. I'm all set with spacers but appreciate the thought.

door handles

Just got my door handles back from the platers, these started life as 1985 black door handles. Crappy photo but they look really good in person.

Those look fantastic Eric! Your progress inspired me to finally get my engine electrics finished- thanks for being such a great role model!

Eric, please give me a briefing on your plater next time I see you. I have a bunch of crap that I want to get all shiny.
