I remember back in the 70's when my friend and I were racing Corvette we added a ducted air line into the brakes like that. Racing at Portland Oregon the main straight was a 160 mph into an 80 mph right turn then followed by a 50 mph right turn.

After the first couple practice laps he came in a said "take those air ducts off, I can go so deep into that corner I'm afraid if the air duct came off I'd never stop till the next town!"

Many will bemoan the fact that there are better or more advanced chemicals, but I found these older Meguirar's products work really well on the soft single stage paint on my 911. Getting ready to do the Klasse sealant this weekend. Overall I am very happy with the results so far.
Hi...As you may know, 3M purchased Meguiar's back in 2008... 3M compounds and polishes have been the choice of many body shops for decades, but for some time they were not able to tap into the retail market...With the acquisition of Mequiar's, they were able to accomplish this...Now, both of these two products 'crossover'

Opinion only...I find, in general, that 3M's products have always been hard to beat.

Our car is also a black Cab; I use 3M PERFECT IT II ULTRA FINE with a Mikita 7" polisher...It removes all swirl-marks.... The results have always been 'Perfect'O' !

Rebuilt and installed the pedal assembly. NOT a fun job in a racecar with a full cage.

I cleaned the oil breather hoses that run back to the carb rain hats.

They had quite a bit of "mayo" in them. I drive the car hard, but I wonder if the additional cooling improvements due to the MOCOL in the passenger fender and intake scoop are too effective while we still have this cool "Spring" weather here in New England.

That picture shows what came out of the fitting alone. Plenty more in the hoses themselves. Flushed with water, dried with the air compressor.

Swood, Warren is a Porsche guy from way back. Knows his stuff about these cars and has all the tools, specialty and otherwise to do the job.

Not sure what a rear only alignments would cost or if he even does them. I will say 4 wheel alignment has come a long way since I did it back in the 1980’s and it was cool to watch the alignment change as he adjusted each wheel in turn.

I would expect, like you said if the car takes longer the cost will go up.
Was not a problem for mine and was Money well spent for my cars cas I had the rear apart and adjusted the heigh of the car.

I re-gasketed the lenses of my H1 headlamps which were boy-howdy old, and replaced the seals for the headlamp mountings. I see a lot of complaints about putting that seal over the headlight rim, but with a bit of hand soap and keeping the tension off the seam it went like a charm.

Two very silly things that didn't really need to get done but I'm trying to find something to do with my free time in quarantine!

Installed better speakers, ended up placing the tweeters where the door locks would be if I had a newer car, had to 3D print some tapered trim rings but they came out great

Doing a Two Fer Project....

Howdy! Started the Revive on the 914-6 to hopefully get it ready for Ameila, did not make that but went and had a ball anyway. Pelican box of new bits arrived so we have happy running carbs, all new shift bushings and brakes are out being redone....so we are on hold on that until next week......

Sooooooooo.......decided it was time to tackle the wanky sunroof in the 1977 911. Have watched the video and will take apart today and see what to order to get it up and running.......

Welcome to the Corona virus project center.......You all stay safe!!!

The problem was with the air to the brakes they didn't heat up slowing from 140 mph and he could go so deep into the corner he was now doing 150 mph before he had to get on the brakes. He got used to it and we could really pass some cars on the big straights.

Another brake story and this was in my 72T. When I used to live in Florida they had some track days in the winter at Sebring, but it was still in the 80's. I had some issues with brake fade on one of the turns slowing from wide open in 4th to about 30mph in 2nd. This was with stock "M" brakes but racing pads. I ended up replacing all 4 discs with slotted and drilled discs. That helped but when I moved back to Oregon and ran track days at the Portland track the back straight was still right at the edge of brake fade. I traded my "M" front brake calipers for a set of "SC" calipers (about 20% more surface area) and no further issues. Keep in mind also my car only weights 2200 lbs and with my 3.0L engine I'm at 9:1 power to weight.

Sunroof fix. 2.0

Ok.....Corona virus weekend update......Got the sunroof trans out.....cleaned, freed up, lubed and re installed.....Everything works back and forth.....only glitch is that it does not pop up all the way in the rear tightly seal at the back.....any little skids, or clips I am overlooking that kicks up the are at it becomes fully closed? Figured I would ask and see if anybody had any ideas or I was missing anything here....

Thanks and hope you all are putting the time to good use.....Thanks again~
