4th Fuse blowing

Hi guys,

Curious if anyone has a fuse box diagram for a 75 911s? Can't seem to find one. 4th fuse top (side closer to the windscreen) keeps blowing when i'm trying to start the car.

I did notice that my indicator was set to high beam when i started the car but I don't believe that's the issue?

Get the feeling it may be the starter...

Also noticed that there isn't a wire going to the top of the fuse holder... not sure if there was meant to be but didn't see any loose wires...

4th fuse

Assuming that your fuse panel has the standard 21 fuses, the 4th one from the windshield should be for the interior lights. It is jumpered to the 5th fuse from the windshield and the 5th fuse powers the brake lights. It should be an easy check to see which circuit has stopped working. There could be some red and red/black wires coming off the top of the fuses that power the electric windows, but since they are not pulling a load across the fuse, they should not matter. Hope this helps.

Thanks Fred. I assume this wouldn't be the reason why my car wouldn't start though. When i connect it the car to a standalone battery , car will crank and the starter will gradually crank less frequently and finally it won't crank at all.

Will try to trickle charge and see if this makes a difference...

I did notice that one of the interior lights was stuck in the on position and the bulb had fallen out.

Sorry I have no idea about car electrics

Looking at the factory diagram you should only have a 19 position fuse holder up front. (18 used)
If the wire coming off the bottom of the fuse holder is blue, it goes to a couple of places. The cigar lighter and the blower switch for your fresh air ventilation.
There is a connector under the dash where the blue wire changes to 2 black wires, one goes to the lighter, the other goes to a connector and becomes a red/yellow wire...
(And people wonder why I don't really want to make dash harnesses!!!!)
