Are these front turns for longhood cars available in white (running light) and amber (turn)?

Do your rear turn and round brake/running lights fit 1971 rear housings? I dont recall if the rear housings changed from longhoods to shorts.
Thanks

Very interested in white running and amber blinking front signals like the gentleman above. Since I made a HID upgrade on my '87 the factory clear turn signal bulbs are very yellow. Any idea of the color temp of these boards when they're white?

I didn't design the white running light option for these boards. It can be done on the next design revision.

About the rear taillight fixtures for the '71, I am not an expert but was told that the '69-'89 cars used the same rear fixtures.

The white LEDs are Cool White :Min . (4600K) / Typical (9000K). The ambers are (591nm) wavelength.

Super yes please. Adding the rear turns will round out a perfect package. Source a few of those BA15s, throw them all in a bag along with EP36s and sell them as complete 911 LED conversions via Pelican.

Awesomest Blinkers Ever !

I just installed the front signals on my 78 SC. ! What a blast. So good.
I especially like the built-in feature that turns Off the running light when the blinker comes on, so it is Blink-Off/dark-Blink... then when turn signal is cancelled, the lower portion white running light comes back on after a 2 sec delay. Brilliant. thanks !

One of the first adopters of the front turnsignal has run into this issue. Here's his front turnsignal bulb and a pigtail from my front turnsignal LED board. It is no issue to run the LED board with this socket. I just need to know if you need the BAY15S (single) or BAY15D (dual) bulb base when you order.

If anyone can shed light on what variation this is, please enlighten me. BTW, this vehicle is located in Australia.

All too often we see negative comments/feedback about products, sales gone south etc. and IMO people can be way too quick to criticise and generally without too many facts to support their comments.

This story is about a guy who buys some LED lights from a seller on a forum.

Not only does the seller take the time to answer the buyers many questions, he is more than accomdating in arranging delivery to meet the buyers requirements.

The parts arrive and exceed the buyers expectations, but there was one little issue. The US fittings were different to the Euro ones (no running lights), the seller is contacted and not only provides a solution he posts the required parts at no cost or inconvenience to the buyer!

This seller did not supply a faulty product nor did they mis-lead the buyer, if anything there was assumptions made by both the seller and buyer but nobody was at fault.

If only this attitude towards customer service and pride in work was adopted by others, unfortunately very rare these days.

If you have not already worked it out, I'm the buyer, Spoke is the seller and those are my fingers in the pic above

To use an Australian phrase for praise and respect, Mr Spoke you are a TOP BLOKE!

Mike, thanks for the kudos. I don't think I've ever been a Top Bloke. I'm flattered. I've been in tech support for most of my career and I've found a few things keeps customers happy: A good product; good support; honesty. I try to provide these things.

I'll really be happy when you tell me you got the bases swapped, the board fits well and the boards are much brighter than the bulbs.

BTW, the brown wire is the ground. It goes in the slot on the periphery of the base. Look at the existing ones. With a solder gun with the big tip, put the base on its side and heat up the base opposite of the brown wire in the slot. The brown wire may have to melt the plastic to slide in the slot.

Once the brown wire is in with the solder iron still opposite of the ground wire, dump in as much solder as possible to the wire until it adheres to the inside of the base. Let it cool a bit then pull on the wire to make sure it contacts the inside of the base.

The red wire will go in the center contact. Remove the red wire from the existing base and insert into the new base. Use a small vice to hold the plastic handle of the base with the bottom of the base pointed upwards. When the red wire protrudes from the center contact, solder the wire to the contact being liberal with the solder. Trim any excess wire and round off the solder to look like the bulb's contact.

For the black wire, just remove it from the original base and tape up the end. Don't cut it off at the board. You may want to sell the boards at some time and it will valuable to have the black running light wire if being installed into a US-spec car.

I don't think the brake and turnsignal boards I have will fit with your body kit. The rear lights don't allow access to the inside of the fixture so boards like mine cannot be installed. For the front turnsignals, it looks quite different from the '74-'89 cars and again will not fit.

The only fit may be the 3rd brake light. I do have a solution for that. The 3rd brake LED board is about 1.5x brighter than the bulb and doesn't produce much heat like the standard bulb.

The LED front turn signals arrived today. They are absolutely fantastic! I also own the rear brake lights and couldn't be more happy with Spoke's products.

The boards were well protected during shipping. They came with an extra install clip and the proper hex key.

The build quality is amazing. Installation was extremely simple and straight forward, and took a total of maybe 5 minutes.

The increased light output while maintaining that stock feel is awesome.

I highly recommend these to everyone.

Pictures tell a thousand words, so see below:

They look great but shouldn't the front side light also be on, unless you are just showing the turn signal?

I've now come across another 911 with front turnsignals on the side and running lights in the front of the bumper.

Can someone enlighten me on why these would be reversed? Was this done at the factory for a certain country? Or by the dealer or PO?

How hard is it to swap these buckets?

Hi spoke,
Any news on a full LED kit? From what I can see the only missing pieces are the rear turnsignals?

Spoke,
I have a 1969-911E and I would be interested in the front turn signal application as well as rear tailight and brake light application. Do you have these available? Are they plug and play?....Sorry for the question, but could not make it through all these threads prior to leaving for work! Is there any special requirements for a 689-911 i.e. flasher, etc, etc.........another topic I have a 1967-912 and would interested as well for the same application! Thanks

Switched

Well, I had to switch mine, too. Run lights were on the front and turn signals were on the side. My car had been previously painted by I don't know how many PO's. So, since both buckets are the same size, I think previous painters just re-installed them that way.

I really, really didn't want to remove the front bumper, because I very recently just got the car back from yet another re-painter. So, yes indeed, it IS possible to get in there behind the bumper and switch the buckets. There are tiny little 8mm nuts on the back side, attaching to studs mounted into the plastic buckets.

First take the wheels/tires off. Put car way up on jack stands. Driver side remove windshield washer reservoir, and emissions vacuum canister and you can get to the back side of the buckets, although one of them is clever tricky to get to.

Passenger side was way easier. Just go in front of the oil cooler and horns, and wiggle around in there and it can be done.

It was worth it to go through all that to get the lights back in the correct location.
