Jerry, I've just sent you an email - would love to get the reverse lights too if available. More in the email.

Mark.

Spoke,

What I'd like is a white LED for the right side reverse light and a red one for the left to serve as a foglight. Can you make a mixed set like that? It would save me drilling holes in my bumper.

The idea came from a thread here on the board....

That's a great idea. I have factory rear fogs integrated with my reflector and in my opinion look way better than the ones dangling below the bumper. I think utilizing one of the reverse lights is a very clean, smart way to do it if you really want them. I don't use mine all that often, but there are times I really appreciate being a little bit more visible in inclement conditions. I wish my daily appliance had them for winter and such...

You should be able to use the EP36 available at most FLAPS. Just make sure it says "LED-compatible". Novita is the manufacturer. EP36 is an old part number and older EP36's are not LED compatible. Should be less than $15.

This can be done. We can put white, red, amber in the reverse light board.

I just got the first PCBs and built one to try on my car. Here's what the board looks like.

Installed the reverse LED board in my car. The fit is excellent. I still need to design a position frame like the brake boards.

The LEDs are about 1.5x brighter than the bulb. At 3 foot, I measured the bulb output at 65LUX and the LED at 100LUX.

The LEDs are on the driver side. The LEDs are cool white.

What I meant to ask was "where is the flasher located in the car?" Sorry.

I installed my front turn signals and the rear side lights and boy is that a difference. Nothing to add on the install; I cleaned the lights, the housing and the contacts pretty thoroughly and the parts fit perfectly. Now on to this flasher; where the hell are you.

Great product spoke

The flasher is behind the dash. I found mine by turning on the 4-ways, and gaining access to the dash from the trunk and listening for the clicking.

Spoke,

By chance has there been any inquiries for a LED board replacement for the rearward facing bumper mounted "fog" light?

The last couple of posts is the first I've heard of the rear fog light. I don't know much about it.

I can't see it being terribly difficult to install or build once all the reverse light tooling is set up. Using red LEDs instead of white will give you bright red illumination. Install the PCB with red LEDs and splice the reverse light wire on the driver side to your existing fog wiring.

The only thing is that light used for rear fog could only be used as such and not reverse. Only the other side could be reverse. It'd be a stealth fog light behind the driver side reverse light.

I believe that countries that actually require rear fog lighting only require it on the driver side. I don't know any specific legal requirements for reverse lighting. I have only heard previously that requirements were only for a single reverse light as being needed.

LED Brake Lights

I can send you mine if you want to check it out. I can also post some pictures too, but if there hasn't been a demand then there is really no need. I know you've got your hands full with all the other boards.

Let me know

Cheers Trevor

Here in Germany the typical setup for economy cars is reverse light on the passenger side, foglight in the same position on the driver's side light cluster. The lenses are asymmetrical, color-wise.

Please post some pics especially of the opened enclosure. I'm always looking for something new to build.

The reverse boards can be easily configured with red LEDs. We do this white-to-amber LED swap on the front turnsignal boards depending if white running lights are desired or all amber. Amber and red LEDs drop the same voltage and have the same current ratings.

Finally ordered rear turnsignal boards.

These will be populated with either red or amber LEDs.
