I just got my new LED boards from Spoke, but was wondering if anyone was aware of one piece lenses for the front indicators?
I’ve lost the inner lens and am looking for a replacement, but would anyone else be interested in one piece lenses? I’ll look into having them 3D printed....? ![]()

Can't tell by your pictures if the driver side looks like the passenger side. The driver side picture is a bit dark.
For your car those fixtures are typically the sidemarker in the USA and have only a diffuser which needs to be removed anyway to install the sidemarker PCB. In your case, the sidemarker will act as a sidemarker (dim) and flash like a turnsignal (bright).

Built one of the 914 foglights. Seems to work ok. Temperature rise on the PCB is about 45C which is what I expected. Measuring light intensity with the standard fog light shows the LEDs to be 3x as bright. Gotta work out some things before making more of these but looks quite good at this time.

Started working on a foglight for the 911. Whereas the 914 foglight is running 500ma per LED, this one will run at 350ma per LED. Part of the reason is this one will be driven by a constant current module. The discrete circuit used on the 914 will not fit on this board so will use module.

Way to go! Keep working on the 911 ones; we all know how anemic (i.e. nearly useless) the stock fogs are...

Made a mockup of the foglight. Not much on it; 8 LEDs and lenses, converter module and heatsink. Needed to print out the board to check for fitment.
![]() ![]() This goes against my goals of not modifying OEM equipment to install these boards but the lamp shade was in the way and had to go. A couple of taps with a flat punch and the lamp assembly came out. ![]() The board will be mounted in the lens of the light fixture. There will be 3 spacers to keep the board pointed directly to the front of the car. ![]() Here's where the board will sit in the fixture. The spacers will push the board towards the reflector and keep the board from moving around. The fit looks good so I should be sending the board to the fab house in the next few days.

Got the first foglight boards in. Looks good but won't be able to build them for a week or so.

The plastic mockup looks just like the real thing. Being able to print a mockup is critical to getting the first prototype boards to fit nicely.

The board will be held in place with plastic spacers in each corner of the lens. The assumption is that all lenses are constructed the same. I've ordered new lenses for my car as the one I'm using for fitment has a big hole in the face glass.
![]() Here's the board with the 4 spacers. The 2 long spacers are identical and the short ones are unique to each corner. ![]() The spacers will point the board directly to the front of the car and the existing reflector will hold the board in place when the assembly is put back together.

Lookin' good, man! Just let us know when we can pull the trigger.
How much better than stock lights do you estimate these will be? Intensity, color, spread, etc...

@spoke, any idea how bright the fog lights will be when you're done? Also, does anyone know what's involved with wiring the fog lights so they're independent of the regular lights? I'd love to use them as DRLs.

Just a note that I have been crazy busy getting my house ready to sell, but will be performing the install of the side marker/front turn signal led conversion shortly.
Also, love the fog light conversion and would certainly buy a set of those!

Here's the 914 OEM fogs against the garage door. They have a nice upper/lower cutoff. ![]() Here's the resultant light pattern with the driver side 914 fog covered up and the LED turned on. The one LED light pattern completely blots out the passenger side fog light. The light pattern is not as sharp on the top or bottom as the OEM fogs. If this upper cutoff is not good, I should be able to cut it down a bit by using a shade on each of the LED lenses. Will cross that bridge when I get there.

I too am looking forward to 911 fogs. I use mine as DRLs wired to operate separately without the headlights... I dig lenses are yellow, I’m assuming that bright white LEDs would still show yellow thru the yellow lens?
It’ll be nice to have cooler longer lasting lights in my fogs! |

Finally got around to assembling one of the 911 foglights.
This unit still needs a heatsink and LED lenses. I'm trying a different strain relief by bringing the wires through the board.
