because the contrast to black details is the best this way (rims, windowtrim, decals...).
the darker the paint on a G gets, the more the details of the cars oem-style gets lost somwhat, imho.

More progress today, pedal cluster out, blasted and painted, floor cleaned, needs a bit more before sound deading and I built a custom tool kit holder for my custom blower cover. And I finished my RSR finish inspired floor boards.

Organizing my carpet for the install, I numbered each piece in the order it looks like they need to be installed, anyone who’s done an install could you confirm my order? I’m starting with #1 and the P & D numbers alternating as I go!

Well. As two stripes over the driver-side wheel well has been my father and I's "thing" since the 80s, I'd say don't do that...but you can't exactly trademark stripes, and it's been done plenty since, sooo...

If it were my car I wouldn't feel the need to advertise for Porsche uncompensated...and everyone on planet earth knows these cars are Porsches when they first see them anyway, sooo...

I like the wheel stripes, and I'm rather surprised by this...The 52 looks good, but doesn't look like any official number plate for any racing organization, sooo...

The red stripe draws your eye right to it, I would leave that out. If it was me I would only put the Porsche script on the rocker. Too many stickers take a away from the lines/look of the car.

Did you create the model of your car, or find a good model somewhere on the 'net?

brasch 04-17-2018 10:46 AM

I used an image I had of my car and used Photoshop to make the versions I wanted

Got new sun visors for the car, for my birthday. Now I’m tempted to backdate the rear view mirror to a ceiling mounted one, anyone have any advice on how to do that and not screw up the headliner!

Also playing around with some hood stripe options, it’s easy to test in Photoshop!

Where did you get the visors? Stripes on hood, I'm guessing you are posting these pics to get opinions? So I say, no.

brasch 04-18-2018 03:03 AM

Ordered them from here, best price and the quality looks really good in person, way better than my current puff balls

Go to
Parts Klassik and search.... PP won’t let me post, couldn’t justify paying more than 130

not feeling the hood stripes. there's nothing to tie them into the rest of the car.

brasch 04-18-2018 04:04 AM

Yeah I’m feeling the same, no stripes for now

mrrolleyes 04-18-2018 06:40 AM

whos carpet kid did you go with

brasch 04-18-2018 09:21 AM

I bought the kit on Pelican for carpets, the RS black version. Works well and the rubber pads will help with wear until I get my mats built.

Also here is a picture of an 911R with the hood stripes, I kinda am liking it again! Damn too many options!

what did you end up doing with the luggage strap bosses?
i don't see them in the carpeted picture and i suspect you just removed them.
