Interesting, is there any option other then Celette , spending 9k to just check two cars sound stupid. In Europe renting jig apparently cost 3k for 4 weeks.
I can see that Wilhelm started building own jig but he is not on forum anymore. Anyone else had success with making their own jig. Have 912 and Carrera 75 to check and help with replacing the tube which i believe without a jig is rather nightmare. Wysane z mojego M2101K9G przy uyciu Tapatalka |

Sort of depends what the 9k includes but it’s only stupid if you can do the same job with the same effort for less money. The cellette owner has put out the money to buy and store the benches and fixtures and time to learn how to use them. Then someone has to remove the suspension from the car, build up the fixtures on the bench and place the car. The cellette does let you know pretty quickly if your car is straight and if it’s not, give you a mechanism for getting it fixed.

But nobody who is just repairing a car for its own benefit will but Celette, renting of course is an option but if i can own jig for this same price as i would pay for renting why not build one. In future if i decide to get another car at least i have the option to check it at no cost really. If i would be a garage who restores Porsche for sure i would get one. Where in Poland and how far away are you from Vienna? I have a Celette MUF7 and a set of the original Porsche 911 fixtures, the ones that bolt directly to the bench without the MZ towers. You can find the benches in Europe regularly, they are not even that expensive. The problem are the fixtures, as they almost never come up for sale. In about 10 years of looking all over constantly I have only found one set. Restoration Design sells a set of copies for about €7000, that works with the MZ towers. Cheers, Lukas

Celette jig are indeed not so expensive and i can buy MU5 for 300 euro , MU7 less then grand , only issue is with MZ towers as i did not see a single sold in the last 7 months locally. Hence the reason behind trying to build jig which i can use to check if all is square and when i will be replacing the tube and possible front pan. Not mine pictures but i can sew that people are having a way to eiasly check car without need for Celette jig with Mz Towers. I have around 550km to Vienna. ![]() Wysane z mojego M2101K9G przy uyciu Tapatalka |
