OK.

You need (at least) two test leads (wires with an alligator clip on each end). Clip one to each blade in the connector and ground one to the car chassis. Take the other one and tap the positive post of the battery while holding the motor to keep it from taking off on you due to torque. If the motor is good, it will spin. If it is dead, it will not.

If you have access to an ohm meter, simply taking a resistance reading across the motor leads will tell you whether the motor has an "open" (broken wire). If this is the case, attaching it to the battery won't do a thing.

I will be the motor is OK.

Let us know

Cheers

Ok, right now my battery is totally out of the car. Since it is out, should I just hook one lead to each of the poles, or should I put the batter back in the car and try like you said?

Either way, does it matter which one goes to which?

If there is two leads, one to each pole on the battery should work. If a lead is brown, hook it to battery - .

It souldn't matter wich lead you conect to the positive and negitive on the battery. If the blower doesn't start just switch the leads. Have you checked the switch and relay? They are eiaser to get too and they are more likely the cause.

It isn't too often that the blower goes out on these cars according to the dealer, they have only seen 2 that were actually dead motors - check the fresh air blower relay (I think it is #15 on the 85.5+ cars)
