speedometer question

i noticed my speedo is off 7 mph. i am doing 107 when my speedo reads 100. stock wheels, stock tires. odometer is broken.

suggestions, comments?

I just replaced the odometer gear in my 86, and when you get the speedo out you can see how easy the needle is to move. If it's steady 7 mph difference at any speed, or if it sits above 0 when off, you might just need to adjust it.

How are you measuring your MPH at 100-107? GPS?

Since your odometer is broken, send the entire guage to a professional repair shop for repair and calibration.

Mpitt, I like your confidence.

John, I am using gps. It is a constant 7 mph.

I guess I will take it apart, and go from there. I will report back from the "deep waters"
