Decided to make a bit of a carpet kit out of some felt I picked up off of Amazon a while back. Big thanks to my two ladies for helping me out when my hand were too big to fit in some small spaces.

Also, it is miserable trying to work inside such a small car with a welded in cage without removing the glass. I just don't have the facilities to do that right now so it makes everything take much longer.

Small update. The interior is pretty much finished and I'll hopefully get it in tomorrow for paint and bodywork.

This is what I started with.

This is what she looks like now. I'm sure there will be minor tweaks here and there, and she's certainly not "bespoke," but she'll be a great little hotrod to enjoy without worry about keeping a pristine classic car.

hey Ryan, it all takes time to get it how you want it. curious how the person whom put it together built it with a pre 74 RSR long hood rear look, and a post 74 RSR front look. Have you thought about making it match at all.
also you wont upset anyone on this section of the forum, as only those interested in engine/ trans swaps are reading. Ihave had my steel wide body with SBC on the road for 20 years in Australia ,and it does upset some, dont care, enjoy

Graham,

I only spoke to the original builder through a few texts when I searched the car on this forum and saw it posted for sale a few years ago. I didn't ask that question but I'm satisfied with how it'll look for the time being once its done with paint. I'll probably enjoy it as is with a bolt-on EFI kit for a couple years before any big changes. My upcoming move to San Diego has me itching for another motorcycle so I'd like to get an old BMW R-series and turn that into a cool cafe bike. After that maybe I'll come back to the Porsche.

Agreed, that's why I posted the build in here and not the 911 Tech Forum.

Snapped a quick picture walking into the new work building a couple days ago. Nice being able to drive and ride year around.

She'll probably go into hiding for a while with some upgrades once my BMW R80 build is done and I have another fun vehicle to take to work every once in a while.

This weekend I attempted to upgrade the H2 headlights to some LED versions I found online as the former are essentially worthless. Unfortunately I can't seem to get the LED versions to work. Is there some issue with traditional to LED lighting that I am unaware of?

I got it resolved, forgot to update the thread. Thank you.

Nice not being afraid of driving at night anymore!

Also just got in some Cobra RS Classic seats that are going in over the next few days.

The Hornet and Lightning are Marine variants, yeah?
How'd you get seat time in a 15?

Slick car btw.

I was a Marine Hornet Pilot. After leaving active duty I was an instructor pilot for Boeing for a couple years and now am one for LM.

Just curious. Do you know the weight of the engine compared to its original Porsche engine?
