Comments like this are the reason I've kept myself separated from the Porsche community at large. No doubt there are some great people in the community but there's a whole bunch of snobby entitled *******s as well. 1979-930 posted a pic showing his kid putting together lego's and you are using it to try to shame him as his house doesn't meet your standards? Money may buy you 50+ Porsches but it obviously didn't buy any class.

Seriously, think before you post crap like that. Its not a good look

Give me a break.

1979-930 has a multi-year tradition of throwing douchebag comments my way (and me right back at him). This wasn't some brazen, unsolicited attack and, sadly, doesn't even rank in the top 100 insults posted in PMD. Why don't you learn the rules of the game before you come out to play?

Seriously, think before you post crap like that. Its not a good look

IMO its mainly design choices as others have stated. The stainless rear bumper extensions and rockers on a wide body just look off to me, the headlights are too much bling, the center mount fuel tank is better suited for a more race inspired look, which this car is definitely not, I'm not a fan of the factory Porsche center hood vent molded into the ducktail, I don't like what's going on with the venting in the front bumper, (looks too aftermarket) rubber protection on the front and rear bumpers don't look right on a widebody (usually the widebodies had the simulated Black adhesive). Sunroof on a widebody backdate isn't right, but the most egregious is obviously the front flare placement. Having said all that, the rest of the work does seem to be well done, but I'm wondering why the flares were installed incorrectly to begin with.

Having said all that again.....Its looks to be a decent car and I think with a new set of front fenders, and the custom touches eliminated it would show nicely.

Ok then, two grown men throwing insults at each other on an anonymous message board...I get your "rules of the game". I'm not defending 1979-930 as I don't know him the same as I don't know you but to comment on someones families socioeconomic status in an attempt to prove ones superiority is lame. Arguing about single stage vs multi stage paint I get but the thickness of someones wallet shouldn't decide their worth to the community in my eyes. That's just me which is likely why I avoid most of the discussions on here

Carry on

Again, this barely registers on the scale. But just wait. We can't be too far away from sexual orientation and the smoothness of my hands.

Feel free to post a photo of your house if you'd like my input.

Fair enough, admittedly I'm far from understanding the rules around here and what registers as below the belt. Normally it seems that people leave family or money out of it but I guess PMD is no holds barred...point taken. Nothing wrong with smooth hands, thats why they make moisturizers for men these days. I do appreciate the offer on your expert opinions for home improvement but you surely would not approve of my small shack on the wrong side of the tracks. That said, I could have used your connections in the home improvement supply world last month when I redid my baseboards. I'll keep you in mind next time I have a home improvement project

Haha... That was a Beachfront VRBO in Huntington Beach we stayed at. They made it look a lot nicer in the adds. It was close to Lego Land and Sea World.
I figured someone would comment on the Frat House look of that place.

Trans, be advised there is a core group of guys here that do sling it around some from time to time all in the name of humor and good fun. the fact is that we all are pretty familiar with one another and know what fits is why it works. don't let MIB (maninblack) give you the wrong idea as to what goes on around here. he drops in from time to time and chucks around intended insults like you noted above and is by no means one of the regulars that go mostly tongue in cheek in these matters.

MIB has never had a disagreement here that he would walk away from w/o the last word. please do not let him give you an explanation of how things work here in the MPF because 99% of the banter is in fun until he shows up. he is not here enough to recognize the difference.

one other tip, if sugarwood, who has a hand full of pseudonyms here seems like he's coming from out of left field is because that's where he is. he participates with only half the story because there are at least 7-8 of us on his ignore list. i won't get too far into it other than referencing a take we used as kids in that "he can dish it out, but can't take it".

it's quite fun around here if you decide to come back and look in now and again. it's not all about the cars, but there are a number of regulars who are very versed on these cars and not just in their own minds. im not one of them, im here for the entertainment of it all. Happy holidays.

@juanbenae No doubt and I realize that most everything on here is in good fun. I just call little things out from time to time but trust me when I tell you I wont be losing any sleep over it. I've been a regular reader and have gained a ton of knowledge and had a few great laughs at the comments....thank you regular posters for that. Been thru your backyard on 108 heading up to the parents house in S. Lake Tahoe, you live in some beautiful country with awesome roads up there.

Take care, Happy Holidays to you all and your families. Drive safe

thank you. it is beautiful and im still learning my way around having moved up here about 20 months ago. 108 was repaved up top in the summer of 19 and is really a great dive in the 911 up to sonora pass. unfortunately the window for driving it is somewhat small compared to where i used to live in the bay area. too hot in the summer, and the sanded roads don't clear enough until late spring. getting much more use out of the jeep since being up here.

don't miss the bay area traffic, hustle and bustle one bit though.

Certainly not here as much as you.

The truth, for anyone new here, is I stop by from time to time and pretty much keep my mouth shut unless I see one of the usual suspects spouting off (again) about a subject in which they're obviously uninformed. In that case, I interrupt them from their never-ending game of tops and bottoms (jaunbenae is definitely a bottom) just long enough to share with them some truth (which invariably ends with their screaming for help from their girlfriends who dutifully pile on with their equally inane opinions).

Just watch. Here it comes.

Now that’s a nice looking car. He should have led with that.
Of course there’s the obvious ‘all that time and effort and yet the owner still wanted rid of it’ dig but that’s still a pretty car.

There are two here whose sh$T does not stink. MIB and Sugarwood. Be advised and consider their responses/insults accordingly.

I see the irony in the guy worried about people insulting his manhood calling the rest of us girls.
