Does this look right?

Or is it just me?

This car is obviously the result of great passion and a lot of hard work, but if it was me I would want someone to point out the problem here:

I keep seeing cars like this (usually on an auction site) and have to bite my tongue..... I feel bad bringing it up.

the angle and shadows make the hood on the 1st car hard to make out. if it as i perceive that is fugly. the halogen lights look as bad as the hood when some simple H4/H1's would be a nice look.

Sorry, I thought it was obvious, I'm referring to the front fenders..... maybe I'm wrong.

I thought you were talking ride height or headlights. Fender looks a little funny but I'm not sure why.

the shadows and light make the lines hard to truly make out in the photo.

I agree 100%. I was thinking he was trying to go for an ST look but the front flairs are mounted way too low on the fender and it just looks wrong to my eye.

I also don't like singers so I am not the one to ask but to each their own and you either like it or you don't.

Yeah definitely an improper placement of flares that make the entire car have to ride high based on front wheel fitment.

I just don't understand how a car could get as far as that without someone saying..... "Ummm...."

Yeah, that's a 930 flare lowered to meet the early bumper rather than using an RSR flare or adding an extension.

Does this look right?

I agree the flairs are too low.
And I think the custom lower valance is too short. The bottom should line up closer with the bottom of the rockers.

Also the 50 aspect ratio rears giving it drag car rake.

that ^^^ is a way more revealing shot. the top of the fender arch is not even symmetric with the center of the wheel. at least you can unbolt fenders if you were to start over...

Front needs to be raised and spacers to push out front tires

Oh wow. Yeah that's a much better view and makes it painfully obvious. What a shame.

I found another example of a similar atrocity....

I missed this post. Exactly right.
I can’t look at the car now without seeing they lowered the flair the exact distance of the turn signal height. Some new fenders will go along way in completing this car correctly.
The lower valance should also be completely blue so it doesn’t look too short.
Then add a rubber lip to the bottom and remove the rubber trim off the bumpers.
This car can be saved and turned into something great with a few tweaks.

The worst thing is the headlights, they make the car look somehow dumb.
Why have a centre gas filler then modern lights?
For that price you could buy a nice original 930 that would look nicer and be a better investment.

The seller wants over 100K and the whole thing is off

yep. go to the "prices that make me laugh" thread and you can get familiar with the seller/builder and his high horse attitude and inability to take even an ounce of critical commentary. the only thing i can figure is he has not noticed this thread or he'd be stinking it up here too.
