Here is a comp for you in canada recent sale

Flared 1974 Porsche 911 Sunroof Coupe | Bring a Trailer

I give the coupe's an edge to targa, others might think otherwise. Here is another example of reality.

What are the engine rebuild specifics to gain 25hp on a 2.7 with CIS?

The market is paying top dollar for unmolested original examples. That's not what you have.. So the market gets fickle.. Who wants a modded midyear targa? that enthusiast buyer pool is small. $15K would certainly sell it, but I think even in what I perceive as a cooling market, you could get $20 for it. Above $25K would surprise. So far $29k hasn't happened.

The '70 was an abortion. A $5k '75 911 gets you a project car.

to move it start the price at $18,500

and see what offers you get. Unless you want to hang onto it then put it on for $21,500. and wait it out, it could be a long wait though.

You're missing:

- coupe
- long hood
- "S" with a big upside
- 1430 made worldwide

your 1975 1570 targas made for the US alone

Different world my friend...

That 37K is a pile of parts. The 'S' means nothing. It's a letter. If one letter isn't hype then I don't know what is.
I forget you are new to the Porsche market... your "S" quote is very telling. And at $37k ask with a "E" motor he is probably 15k over reality. Best of luck selling your car.

Oh, S means a lot up until and including 1973. After that not so much. But that's really irrelevant to your sale.

The only cars that are comps to yours are 74 and 75s. I don't even consider that 74 coupe on BaT a comp. your car is much nicer than that.

Don't get defensive. Remember that buyers are going to look at your post history. You get snippy here with someone and maybe a buyer thinks you are hard to work with. Opinions are like aholes. Don't get sucked into a debate. Just let them have their opinion and agree or disagree but don't argue.

Very nice post. You are right, I am feeling defensive, my ears are turning red!

I need to step back and realize this is my fun car and it's irrelevant if it sells or not. Time to turn off the computer and go for a ride! Thank you!

I wonder why Canadian cars just don't sell well, this one had no smog equipment so that didn't help.
