If I said my name was "Willem Dafoe" would that change anything about my statement? Or how you'd interpret it? No, and I expect you to continue posting as you do, either way. You're the one conducting business on here, not me. If you choose to use your name, that's certainly your prerogative. If you don't want to take me seriously, that is perfectly fine.

Sure, perhaps I am short sighted or naive, or maybe I missed all your posts on the Tech Subforum. I don't go on ESR, but on PP, yes, all I see is someone basically spamming the board promoting their brand with "advertorials". (Contrast your posting with Monson's, for example) Do I care? Not really. But I guess it's just annoying enough for me to notice. I have no ill will towards you, but am free to express myself, as are you. I joked that I have not seem your relentless self-promotion in quite a while, and was getting worried about you. That is a true statement. Internet tough guy? I did not tell you to stop. I do not own this forum, and everyone is free to post as they please.

I suppose that if it truly bothered me, I would have put you on ignore long ago. So, I'll give you this, I must put up or shut up. Yes, either I secretly enjoy your soft-core spam, or I need to put you on ignore, which I'm surprised I did not think of sooner.

Trust me, you don't want me on the tech forum, a hard core mechanic I'm not. I share my expertise in this forum because marketplace is what I'm good at, buying, selling, holding, that I know, and share my knowledge both on and off line on a daily basis. As far as posting your real name, it just irritates me that every swap meet I run into at least one guy who is the toughest keyboard wizard you've ever seen, and when you meet him he acts like your long lost buddy, or steers clear of you, which is hard to do if you know who someone is. So yes, fake names de-value criticism, it's a form of hiding and makes you look weak.

Relentless self promotion even when called out on it #hilarious. Honestly im trying to decide which of these statements shows your Texas sized ego

How about all the copies of ESSES I make sure are in all of my hundreds of gift bags, promoting the club ... self promotion

... for all I know you are jealous competitors, or scorned girls I knew in high school

Dude you are not the player you think. You flip rusty turds out if a town in far upstate NY. And yes I'm tired of seeing articles in mags written by you but i can flick past them and for that matter any thread you start because like your posts they always boil down to one thing. Relentless self promotion.
What's irritating is when you jump in a thread with the same recycled pics and piffle about how you found so and so, then you flipped it. It's boring.

You are promoting yourself and your brand. You should at least have the decency to own your actions not dress it up any other way. Plenty of other vendors on here who dont feel the need to do what you do, you should take a leaf out of their book.

As for hiding, my name is Michael, my surname is sort and i was born in 81. I'm not selling here so dont really need to use my name to make my biz seem personable.
*BTW the wiki page for Ravena NY doesnt have you listed as a person of importance, you better run and correct that ... #baller

Rusty turds? Far upstate NY? Why am I there? Cheap real estate, it's simple, paid cash for the building, means low overhead. As far as me being a player, I wonder who else you can say has loaded truckloads of 356's in modern times? Or found Carrera Speedsters? Or found Porsches owned by royalty?

Don't worry, I'll wait....

While you're thinking I can send you a poster if you need a reminder at home, you can make a dartboard out of it.

Owned by royalty #hahaha honestly you flip turds, and you will flip that one.
Truly I pity anyone who has to talk to you. I'm sure the locals in your depressed little town cross the street to get away from you and your ego. If a therapist retires poor to the middle of nowhere maybe you can get help.

Nope, the King's car is not for sale, as far as across the street, nothing but cops, and they love to stop by and see the latest discovery. The 911 was the sister car to the King's 904, pictured here. That car is now in the Porsche Museum, he had the 911 painted with a 356 paint code to match his 904. So yes, that is a car ordered by royalty, no doubt about it. In the pic you can see the 904, the King, Baron Huschke from Porsche, and the 911 in the background, he didn't run it that day, he let the King of Lebanon run it, so two royal butts in that seat!

Turds, which one of these is a turd? The blue one is one of 43 ever built, does that at least make it a very rare turd? Oh, and the 1970 silver 911E, was a one owner car, parked in 72, is it a turd?

The 70E when found, sure doesn't look like a turd...
It still has it's original title from Porsche.

Cops that are bored of searching for meth labs stop by for free donuts, really really great.

#ROFL 'Relentless self promotion' illustrated perfectly. Looking forward to when you flip the 'royal' turd.

Like I said, it's not for sale, but you're welcome to swing by and put some work on it, I'll give you a sander, hard to talk trash with a sander going.

I don't get into internet fights all day every day, but i can see how an extreme narcissist would frame that narrative mentally as something to be proud of.

A Pig: lives in ****, drops turds ... looks like the shoe fits.

So I shouldn't save a sander for you? How about the poster, did you want the poster?

Adam-

You’re a great contribution to this forum...yes, some pics are recycled, but many aren’t and are pretty cool...

Don’t let the haters get you.

Thanks man. I find the people who usually have this attitude have what I call the "help" mentality. They think if you're "in the business" then you should wait quietly in the corner while the Porsche guys are at the table and if called over can discuss Porsche, but if not wait quietly until called upon. When I fail to wait quietly it really rubs them the wrong way, they don't know why, but man they lash out. It upsets the natural order in their mind. Why am I so damn excited about finding rusty cars? Why won't he just shut up? They think I'm faking being an enthusiast just to make that $$$. I guess they fail to take into account my personal collection, as well as all the cars I build for myself, that's just part of the ruse. That kind of thing.
Maybe this guy doesn't fall into that camp, but they usually do.

Wait, you're a shrink? Man, you would have loved the late great Dr. Wright, you guys would have gotten along great!

And trust me, these aren't delusions, just well thought out observations, the Porsche world is pretty segmented, and easily understood.

Adam, don't get trolled dude. I haven't seen you on for awhile so I thought you were getting caught up with projects and holidays. Don't give in.

Endless self-promotion? Most people don't even know what it remotely takes to take on a business like this. To hang out one's shingle in doing something and making a business out of a passionate hobby is near impossible. You did that. And you need to get the word out there. Everywhere. To everyone.

Don't get trolled dude. If people are tired of your ads or writeups, then don't read them. Simple as that.

As long as I have been on here Adam has been the least confrontational person who has an even-keeled response for everything.

I think his short stories and writeups are great stories of adventure that most of us would want to do in our spare time - but don't.

There's a saying in French, "L’appétit vient en mangeant" -- appetite comes from eating. The same applies for forum trolls. The reaction and engagement of the person being trolled encourages more trolling.
