Those don’t have an FIA fireproof rating.

Haha its all good I enjoy the different change in humor and type of people I usually chat with. Hopefully you guys don't get tired of me and hate what I buy since one of the local ones I'm waiting on is going to be verrry untraditional in the Porsche community

So checked out the 77.

Sweet car. The seats are nice actually like them a lot. The shifter is nice and not sloppy like my old 912. Interior cool. One rust spot on bottom of door and I guess it had SC flares installed at some point in its life. The wheels are reps but nice tires and look good. Has basically everything spare tire, jack etc.

The RS spec motor looked clean has MSD ignition and other stuff upgraded recently. Might have a PPI done by a place near by.

Didn’t hear it run or drive it since he is waiting for it to warm up before any of that fun so will let me know first thing when I can come check it out. Miles on title are discrepancy but has about 128k on odo.

So him being at 28k is that just an average price I could get a similar 77 for? Or what should I shoot for to make it a deal to snag and run with? Told em I’m teally looking to spend around 25k which isn’t too far off.

Let me know what you guys think.

Should I be shooting to get it even lower? It’s a cool ass car.

Can you post some pics? The more the better insight we can offer.

What kind of person has a car for sale but won't let someone start it or drive it? It's a car.

If it's numbers matching and does not need a front pan or any other major rust repair you will be paying a fair price at $28k. I would offer him $24k and see if he will settle at $26k.
You will have to be patient and hope the car sets for a couple weeks with no action. Someone else may scoop it up and be happy to pay $28k for a project.

If you are interested in the 911, the longer it stays in his garage, the more people he might tell he is going to sell it. If you really are interested in it - go after it.

Turn up the heat on the seller and try to buy that car. It’s an good first 911 starting point.

Sounds like you like this one. We’re all blind with out pics or a PPI. That being said your price point is as low as it goes for a driver. So, if the ppi checks out (ie rust is not that bad, engine has compression) show up with $25k in cash and get her done
