How many cities have you posted a want ad in? I thought you lived in Cleveland?

It is what it is. To the person that said I shouldn’t post his pic, well he put his pic out in public by sending so no invasion of privacy . I’ve been coming to the forum for years just never posted, once I saw this thread and realized it was that same guy I didn’t wanted to let it be known.

So dumb. How could this guy sit on his hands and miss this many deals? We all know the method for buying: set email alerts for new cars listed and keep a close eye on your email. When something is listed that could remotely be legit, be ready with cash in hand and you'll get a reasonable or maybe very good deal. That's what I did and bought one months ago. Now I just bother everyone in the technical forum while I work on it instead of wasting my life poring over listings all day...

geez, like sands thru the hourglass, these are the days of our lives.
gentlemen, we are being baited. and by and large taking it. it's really not that hard to buy a car. get educated. have the money. know what you want. pull the trigger when the time comes. live with the consequences. there are tire kickers, then there's itza. i'm not going to invoke the millenial thing here, but this does have the distinct vibe of entitlment. he doesn't want a car. he's getting what he wants with this thread. why else would he sabotage himself in such a manner? all the while denigrating most of us here, like we're somehow the problem. he appeals to the membership here looking high and low for a car, but snaps when folks call him on his inability to get a deal done. the folks on here buy and sell cars regularly, and can really help a young guy out with finding a car. happens all the time. I come here for technical advice every so often. I am not a forum person and only signed up while browsing and reading that thread recognizing this is the same guy posting on Craigslist. It is the same person, I’ve put it out there that he is a flipper, take it or leave it just wanted to bring out the info specially with so many people being deceived.

Why won’t you even acknowledge the car I posted twice. You chase these ghost cars and then ignore a decent car at a good price.
What is wrong with it? It seems to check all your wants. Quote:

This has to be a giant troll.
Anyone with an ounce of motivation or balls or money would have a car by now. The story about the old lady and the $9k SC is a little too unbelievable. Why would she contact you about selling the car then turn around and sell it for $9k to some random person who saw it in the driveway? Life is short, we're all going to be dead in a few decades at best, just buy a F'n car. Nobody ever said "I wish I would have waited a year longer to buy a 911 and saved a couple grand" on their deathbed. I found a car that wasn't marketed too well, fit within the framework of what I was looking for, what I could live with and what I couldn't. Sent an email, talked to the owner(not some middle man), booked a 1 way ticket for the weekend, sent confirmation to the owner, saw the car, drove the car, agreed on a price, drove to the bank, got a cashiers check, signed the title, had a beer with the now previous owner, pointed the car West, about 1000mi and two days later I was home and happy. Days later while looking for a second set of wheels I saw a similar 911 in better condition for about the same money listed 5 min away, such is life.

Regarding that CL ad he has posted in various cities,
at least it finally makes sense on how Itza always had new leads on ghost cars in other cities that are not even for sale and from sellers not ready to sell until some unknown future date. Do you think these sellers have any loyalty to some random wanted ad on CL when it comes time to sell many months later? No, they have totally forgotten about your stupid ad in the first place.

Itza, no offense, but Matt is right. You blew this deal. This market is red hot. Like any other sellers market, you have to JUMP when you want something, with cash in hand.
Trying to buy a condo in Boston? Better be there the first day and bid over asking. Trying to buy an aircooled? Better take a day off from work and show up with cash, or someone else will. When doing deals like this, there are no ethics, really. You'd like to think there are, and so do I, but really, there aren't. Just other people trying to buy the same thing you are. Hard life lesson unfortunately. Trying to buy an underpriced aircooled? Good luck! If you're lucky enough to find one, keep your mouth shut, operate quietly and move quickly with cash. You might even get to buy the car. I found one two years ago. Told no one except my P-tech master mechanic who I partnered with. Still haven't told anyone until now. We looked at the car, bought it and went our merry way. There was the seller and us. No ads, no websites, no nothing. It was a beautiful thing. You don't need us. You're not getting any leads here. Work your contacts harder outside of Pelican. That's where you might find your car. GL.
