Has Guards Red always been Guards Red?

What I mean by that is... did it ever change tint/hue over the years or is 1985 Guards Red the same as 2005 Guards Red?

930 Turbo Muffler Heat Shield - How does it attach?

I see how the heat shield attaches to the lower valance, there are 3 threaded posts on the valance, but what does it attach to up top? I just see the shield under the center reflector and the holes...
