The client was wanting an RSR look with the turbo power plant; a rather unusual combination. I came up with this idea to fulfill the vision. To keep with the theme I purchased a set of RSR racing megaphones and cut the ends off to use with my system.
So no, I did not make the tips.

Finally i have got my crank, clutch, rods, flywheel and pistons weight adjusted and balanced. The weight difference between each rod with piston is now 0,1 gram.
the lightweight pressure plate is also balanced. I also received my 3.2 carrera cylinder heads back from the workshop last week they have been surface-grind and valves leak tested. I desided to use the original rod's and the original 930 oil pump. Here from pelican parts i have received raceware rod bolts and supertec cylinder head stud kit. So now i'm quite ready to start assemble the engine. ![]() ![]() ![]() My new 964 turbo cylinders ![]()

Camshaft
The Carrera 3.2 camshaft (for left side) that have been extended so the original oil return pump from turbo can be used.

I use the Haltech E11v2 and would be happy to share my file as a starting point.
I'm not sure it works on your E6 so you'd need to check. Otherwise I can talk/email you through some basic settings enough to likely get you going. It's looking good!

Test mounting the engine without the gear box, to do intercooler preparation.

wow the water intercooler can be alot smaller... doesn't look like the same cooling power, but we all know it will likely exceed what an air-to-air can do!!!
keep us updated!

Agree it's oversized ![]() So if i run air-condition, it's possible that the temperature can rise up to 55°C ( 131°F) and then it's good to oversize the intercooler. /Kjell Robert

Very clean and impressive install. What, if anything, have you done to your 915 tranny to handle the extra power?

Any updates? What clutch did you end up going with?

Just keep the rpm's under about 6500 and the rods should handle all you can through at them.

I believe a modulated system that would spray a mist of say, distilled water over the intercooler would be much simpler that a watercooled intercooler system running both lengths of the car. The windshield reservior could substitue as a tank for the water, and run lines to the back of the car. Just a thought...

That would only be suitable for drag racing or street duty without sustained boost usage. A track day would burn through the water supply right quick and then you would have to shut off. If you tune the motor not to need the water, you are leaving power on the table that could be gotten by fitting an air-to-air intercooler which never runs out of coolant.

This is an old post...I did some similar thinking and went with a big Bell air-air intercooler with a pair of shrouded radiator puller-fans. No water weight or complexity, keeps intake temps at most 20 degrees over ambient.
