I'm looking forward to your TT shorty header products later on down the track

TT is custom due to the miriad of turbos and configurations. What can be done is use a V-band clamp on each collector for secondary pipe attachment. The rest of the assembly can then be completed on the actual car so turbo placement is perfect.

That sounds like the way to go to be really "semi-universal"

Also allows provision for normally aspirated application.

You really should try to have heat exchangers be an option, not the rule, IMO. Those headers are too cool to hide with heat exchangers for some people.

Heat exchangers will be bolt on. That will allow easy replacement if damaged and the option to add later if desired.
If it isn't obvious, I like modular designs that allow options.

Got the first production mock-up finished this evening.
This one is welded (by Ben). Next one will be mandrel bent. Thin flanges were cut and spacers made to reduce the weight vs thick flanges. Getting closer ... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Brian- that looks great! I just wish you made them 6 months ago as I just had a set made...
What size primaries are you going with? I did 1 3/4" primaries to 2 1/4" secondaries.

These are 1.5" primaries. Plan to offer 1.625" and 1.75" as well.

Damn Brian that's might purdy and worthy of praise.....but "svet" is what comes off your brow as you're working in a hot shop welding stuff....."svelte" is the word for neat, cool, trim, suave, debonaire.
Now tell me you don't give a rat's A$$ and send me packing back to my room. Does this mean I can't get one at a special price now?

Brian, Is that the collector that you will be using for the models with heat? Is that the reason for the metal trim around the collector near the primaries?

The collector is a prototype as well. It will undergo a MAJOR smoothing before production.
Heat exchangers are in the idea stage right now. One thing at a time ... Chuck you have to remember I live in Alabama. We have our own language here. If you care to learn it just watch a few Larry the Cable Guy CD's.

That's great header design for primaries! I would use more gentle-tapered collector and lower diameter pipe after the header in order to retain exhaust velocity. Using such big diameter after merge will make headers work in "pressure mode". While this doesn't affect top power as much, it would be desirable to use as much pulse energy as possible, in order to have as low boost threshold.
Otherwise, very nice!
