Looks like a vote for unequal length short headers.

Cool hand in that download. He mentions Titanium rods in motor. I guess...... with that much torque & HP would be money well spent. The factory went there with less HP than he is getting. Nice of him to mention that, along with the improvements of a higher output oil pump to get oil volume circulating better and the improved flat fan for that air & oil cooled motor.

Have you noticed 13:1 AFR (!) at 800HP?
Cue: right staple indicator on dyno-operator monitor.

On a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno, doesn't really count. Don't flame me,i know his car is very fast, but you can't trust the crap chassis dyno's churn out. They don't load the engine properly for a start. He will not have that much REAL horse power, once heat sets in it will struggle to be in the 800 crank HP range. Still very impressive

I used be around those motors everyday when I was working at Gunnar Porsche in the mid eightees and I think that intercooler and plenum was for Kremer bodywork. I asked how much horsepower they made back then and Kevin said around 750-800, but you could turn the boost up to around 900hp for one gear shift to pass another car and then you had to turn the boost back down to avoid burning a piston. |

GT 30-40.. thank you for that...
if anything mustang and dynojets are the ones that are suspect... it is all to common for people to ""correct"" power numbers.. a properly adjusted chassis dyno is just as correct as any other way you can dyno.. and eddie bellows car would give a 1100+ rwhp hennessey viper a run for its money in the standing mile.. and i doubt thats possible with a BS 1157 hp.. |
